  1. Looking for a Mooney experienced A & P in Central Oregon. I know LASAR move here but am looking for someone other than them.
  2. Our local Ace hardware had them. Worked perfectly - under $2.00
  3. This. It’s on the Aspen but my eyes are out the window at that phase of flight, other than to glance as airspeed on short final. Can’t say I’ve ever looked at it other than during slow flight practice to help anticipate/hold off stalls.

  5. Install in process for me - looking forward to seeing how it helps!
  6. As a recently transitioned owner, I understand exactly what you are experiencing. Coming from a 172, my Mooney is incredibly more reactive to input. The first thing I had to learn was to stay at the bottom of the rudder pedals to keep from activating the brakes before I wanted/needed to. This also keeps most of my foot on the floor and allows much more shuttle steering inputs. It takes some practice but you’ll get it.
  7. The last week has been a whirlwind. Closed on the purchase of N201NG and traveled to Maryland from Oregon for transition training and to move the plane home. I have to give huge props to: Seller Phatex1337 for being amenable to my desire to have the PPI done a few hours from home. RPM Aircraft Services. Byron Rodgers (jet driver) for your service and advice Transition CFI Brian Elbert (found on the Mooney flyer). His patience, knowledge and instruction are top notch. If you need services, I highly recommend both of these fine gentlemen. I already have north of 30 hours on my plane and moved it from Maryland to Oregon in an epic 2 day crossing. For those of you wondering if you can transition, I would say yes. The 3 solid days of instruction I received (21 hours) have put together a solid base from which to grow. The trip itself was amazing and diverse with most hours in smooth air coupled with a smaller number that required patience, some skill and a watchful eye on buildups and deviation around. We had an amazing trip and look so forward to the many adventures to come. These are amazing planes! Leaving FDK Parking at RDM
  8. Thanks for making it a painless transaction. I pick it up Monday and the real learning begins!
  9. Contacted him, schedules don’t work but he seems like an amazing guy!
  10. Will be me - with proper prebuy results should close end of next week - fingers crossed.
  11. I wasn’t aware Byron was a transition trainer! Actually am having him do the prebuy as the seller is kind enough to move it there for me!
  12. Hi All: Will be closing on a J in the next couple weeks. I live on the west coast, plane will be in Gaithersburg, MD. Plan is to fly out, get the 10 hours dual insurance requires and fly it home. I’m looking for a CFI who may be interested in completing the required dual and perhaps flying 1/2 way across the country with me finishing the trip on my own. Suggestions?
