  1. Nice! M20p and m20t are the only options. Also in US, we're supposed to use P and T. Piston or turbo. They don't care about our petty fights between C models and J models
  2. Hi, I tried to calculate navcan fees using their web page and choosing m20p as aircraft type between KMBS Saginaw MI and Buffalo, NY. It returned 0. Is overflight really free of charge? Thanks EDIT: ADDITIONAL QUESTION: Anyone know where I can get the Niagar Falls VTPC? There are youtube videos that explain the procedure (which is fairly simple) but ... not really airworthy data. Where can I just download/purchase this supplement? Thanks.
  3. I just realized the manual 203 dated 1976 covers my plane and the shaft pn are 720005-1 whereas the sb20-205 addresses 710005- numbers. What am I missing?
  4. I wonder if something happened to trigger this...
  5. If I'm not wrong, the new style yoke shafts are 2" longer, further pushing the already bigger yoke into your stomach. I don't understand why one cannot strengthen the old yoke shafts by sticking a longer rod inside of them and then rosette welding them, instead of using a 2" insert held by AN bolt. I'm fit, no tummy, yet the cabin is crammed. Especially for the front pax when rear seats are occupied. Edit. Wrote to Mooney.
  6. No, there's the archive that goes way back.
  7. I miss him here and he's not responding to email inquiries anymore, either. Though kindness and manners were made to prevail during the fight that resulted in his ejection, I don't recall any significant contribution since that moment by those who were offended by Clarence and taught him that he's not above us.
  8. I think he understood the question well but didn't want to engage in a fight over whether it will really take 20 years to prove their parts' worth or not. What was he supposed to say? Provide details and hijack the conversation? He's not here to sell products. He's trying to scope for new ideas... @George Thomson i don't mind the greasing honesty. It takes 1hr of my time every 6 months but if you could redesign the landing gear with higher turn radius, you'll be a hero.
  9. and here comes another one...
  10. If I'm squawking 1200 on my GTX 345, am I anonymous?
  11. Hi, Anyone selling, or know anyone selling, a prop balancer? DynaVibe, Ace Probalancer or any other brand? Thank you.
  12. What makes you think I didn't know that? I've known that all my life! I grew up in Europe, remember? It's just sad to see the last haven lose its beauty...
  13. They were bitching and moaning for more money way before covid. I guess with Inflation their squandering also rose by 20%.
  14. Time for a new manager. Someone who cares about flying and doesn't buckle before ballbreakers. Unless of course driving is also curbed at those hours.
  15. I fully agree on the invasion of privacy thing. I even researched that and it seems the only option is to have an attorney file an LLC for you... Then it'll be their name and their address... I just thought that's expensive... As for the billing part. Local admins have been devising new ways to milk residents and others for a while. Before covid here they had millages because "their healthcare costs have risen." They're building new mcmansions here (which to me just mean that you can get rich but can't buy taste.) They go for astronomical prices, setting new and high property taxes. The rest of us see the maximum allowed yearly increase. Ok, where's that money going? A colleague of mine is involved in township meetings and he says he can't fathom it. It must be going somewhere. So I'm not surprised that they're attacking airports, too. We're just getting our "fare share" of the increased government spending... Adsb or not.
  16. I like how you built it. However the wheels are too small for the connection cracks in the concrete slab and for the step between the slab and taxiway asphalt... That's for my hangar. Ymmv
  17. I said "giving", because they used to literally hand out i94s to foreign citizens in inbound flights that you'd fill out with a pen. The immigration officer would stamp that too and staple it in your passport. They'd collect it on your way out... I'm not sure of their printing facilities but horseback delivery sound cool. Just like the horseback cops in NYC.
  18. They stopped giving I94s some time around 2012. It all became electronic.
  19. It looks cool, for sure. But I like my panel. It doesn't bother me.
  20. That's sad that he didn't know that. but he should have known it. In most places foreigners (and in many cases even citizens) need to carry proof of identity (Italy for example). In some cases tourists that frequent busy areas polluted with pickpockets make copies to carry around and leave their passports in a safe place for protection. Make sure you do at least that next time you visit Europe. And never, ever pull the "I'm an American citizen, I have rights" stunt in Europe if you are caught without ID.
  21. @MikeOH @N201MKTurbo This is a minute example for the grey zone. But as you've brought it up, let me say that I've seen some planes with current annuals that were littered with homedepot bolts, and the owners would just seek whomever would sign that off. That's also annoying.
  22. Looked into it while installing the G5 HSI. Very laborious.
  23. Well now that I'm an A&P, I need to live by virtues
  24. That's the best option, especially if I can also pay for an 8130 and make it 100% legal.
  25. I can build a longer one from a block of brass or aluminum. I have the tools and skill set but I was hoping for a quick internet order ...
