Well I had busted one before so I was probably over prepared this time if that's possible, I think from my limited exp I think it's easier because they can't ask you all that you learned , seems like they just want to touch on enough to make sure you do have it all in your head . A ppl is only a license to learn even more seems like it
NA trainer ? I used a 172 for my training so far , I hope I love it I have owned it a year and have only ridden in it 5-6 times .
The annual is do at the end of this month hoping for a good one . I have to call Don Maxwell and see what his waiting list looks like . Last year I think was the first year he did not do the annual in like 14 years I think . Looking forward to learning LCB GUMPS .
Going to be studying the POH for the next couple of days until the instructor get here .

Passed on Saturday , moony cfi will be here on Tuesday night and we start training in the 231k on wedsday morning for as many days / hours as it takes . I am so happy
Is your name Gary too? its in your signature?
Wait.... are you future me?
no PPL, buying a k (though i was aiming for a rocket), Hating the cirrus, same first name..... It all adds up!
I just wish there was a 1982+ J at my airport so i could look to see how big the back seat/cargo area is.
Hahahahaha I actually ment more money then brains and always dreaming
I will not tell how much I have wrapped up in my ppl but I wish somebody like bonal had told me to take a few weeks and go to a part 61 school and just get it done . I prolly should have a ppl , IR and a commercial rating for what i have spent . I have read both threads and I also think you have an instructor problem , I have been to a part 141 school and I don't recommend them but a good part 61 school is priceless . I wish I found a part 61 school like I am using to finish up about 20000$ ago amd six months ago. I think you don't know what you don't know about different instructors and I would head the advice that is being offered here . Even if it means you thinking it would be a waste of time . trust me you don't want to be in my shoes dollar wise

SH and I have a lot in common only I did not ask questions the way he does I own a 231k, I wish that I had asked as many questions as he did . There is no way I would ever train in a cirrus . With that being said I wish my 231k was a tricked out J , I don't have my license yet hopefully I will by the end of the week . This is a hard group and I think that is because the K and up are hard airplanes and the pilots attitude reflects that. It may seem a little harsh but nobody is steering you wrong . Don't take everything that has been posted to heart but pay attn to what they say and take it into consideration as you train .

Well I know how he feels , I own a 231 and take my check ride next week and still have transition training to go thru and I know that's going to be a steep learning curve , kinda wish I would have bought a J tbh , you guys gave him great advice and I am glad he slowed down on his purches plans. Wish I would have asked as many questions as he did lol. But I hate to type.
My insurance requires 15 dual but when I insured it I had zero hours and I was talking about my private ticket but I busted my check ride so now back to my
instructor to do some polish work and try again next week maybe
Just got off the phone with don Maxwell and he said they should interchange pretty much to all mooneys , he said the peddles are all the same

I am in the panhandle of TX and looking for a mooney CFI I am Able to get the plane ferried within say 500 miles. I have owned it for about 6 months and should knock out my check ride by the end of the week . It's based at KLBL . Seems like I started a thread about this before and some one contacted me from Wichita KS but I can't find the thread , so I am starting this thread again.
