  1. Thanks for the suggestions guys. I will give Wentworth and Lasar a call tomorrow. Here are a couple of shots of what I have.
  2. Nothing like those...(although those are nice). What I'm talking about is a small cap that actually covers just the axle nut. I'll try to get a picture this evening.
  3. Can anyone tell me the part # for the little hub cap that covers the axle nut on the mains? ...or better yet tell me where I can get one. Not sure if all Mooney's are the same but mine is held in place with 3 screws and it has a single screw hole in the middle to hold on the wheel cover (Cleveland wheel). One of mine has been "machined" by the cotter pin in a previous life to the point that I'm concerned about it's ability to hold the wheel cover securely. I ordered what I thought was the right piece from Spruce...but it is a press on style hub cap. Any info appreciated. Larry
  4. Looks great! Would love to do the same.
  5. I should've elaborated a little. Mine ran consistently high oil temps. Pulled the cooler and had it checked and cleaned without any improvement. Pulled the hoses to replace and discovered that the tip had broken off the Vernatherm and wedged itself in the opening of the 90 degree hose end. Mystery how it ended up there.
  6. Ditto on the Vernatherm.
  7. Can't wait to hear what the shop says about the mode of delivery...LOL
  8. I agree 100%
  9. I just did mine by myself with a simple oil "squirt" can from each wheel starting with the passenger side. I hung a hose over to the floor from the reservoir to a clean jar so I could watch my progress. Was done in about 15 minutes and brakes are firm. I just installed new hoses so the system was pretty much empty. I just kept pumping until I had filled the quart jar over 1/2 full to hopefully chase any pockets of old fluid out. This old 63 C system may be totally different than what you are dealing with.
  10. How much time over the water?
  11. WOW...love your new ride!!
  12. We got everything we needed from Don Maxwell. He was very helpful with how too's and sketches / diagrams.
  13. Yes...I printed it out but did not look at it until today and then realized it did not include my bird. Thanks again for the link.

  18. Same here. It probably took us 5 ~ 6 hours. Real PITA but it put everything back where it should be.
  19. Fredericksburg Texas T82 http://www.fredericksburgfbo.com/ is a lovely place to stay. Has a "Hanger Hotel" that is adorned with 40's decore. Lots of ramp space and food is not far away if the airport diner is closed. We had a Swift fly-in there a couple years ago and the FBO had made big promises about cheap gas prices which he did not honor after we all arrived...so we all fueled elsewhere during our sightseeing flights.
