jetdriven Posted July 23, 2012 Report Posted July 23, 2012 I have to order hoses in the next couple of days and I am looking for the right part number and routing for the two oil cooler hoses for the A3B6 conversion engine. A photo of routing and clamps would be great as well.
1964-M20E Posted July 23, 2012 Report Posted July 23, 2012 If you know the hose size, hose length and fitting size, angle and clocking you can go to http://www.aircrafthose.com/ They will make the hoses up for you and put the fire sleeve on them at the same time. My mechanic suggested them and uses them all the time. This is where I go to get hoses when I need them. Get with your mechanic to measure them and get the correct orientation.
N601RX Posted July 23, 2012 Report Posted July 23, 2012 Why not just buy a few feet of Aeroquip hose and reuse your old ends as long as they are not showing any corrosion? Lot cheaper than new hoses from a hose shop.

N601RX Posted July 23, 2012 Report Posted July 23, 2012 Quote: OR75 probably a lot cheaper indeed. However, it is probably better to use a hose that is certified to meet a TSO standard or a Mil-Spec in a certified aircraft and most importantly, it is better to leave the task of manufacturing of part to the experts (I would not want to loose oil pressure in flight).
jetdriven Posted July 23, 2012 Author Report Posted July 23, 2012 Mike, we are going with 124J integral firesleeve Teflon. The old hoses are crap, and the ends are not correct for the A3B6 conversion
jetdriven Posted July 23, 2012 Author Report Posted July 23, 2012 30$ via PAYPAL to the first person with the 2 hose part numbers and the photo of the routing of the oil cooler hoses on their plane for an -A3B6 converted M20J. The last 4 numbers on the tag are length in inches and eights. IE a -0185 hose is 18 and 5/8" long. The M20J parts catalog shows a straight -0204 length on both hoses (20 and 1/2") . The defunct modworks STC shows a -0160 45 degree hose on one, and a -0180 straight hose on the other.
Kwixdraw Posted July 24, 2012 Report Posted July 24, 2012 You might try Heber hoses. They advertise in TAP that they have hose sets made up so it's possible that they have the specs already.
