Help the ladies out!

Not sure if anyone knows about the 99s, it’s a women’s non profit providing scholarships to women who want to get into aviation, they also offer mentors to would be lady pilots and host “let’s fly now” events, which are like young eagles, but targeted towards flying age young women.

 

 They are having a drive right now to raise money for the scholarship fund.

 

 Each INDIVIDUAL (as in separate email address) donation of $25 is matched by give Miami day / Flight Training Center Homestead

The 99s were started by Amelia Earhart  after she was turned down for membership by the Quiet Birdmen  (QBs)

Its a good organization and they paint compass roses on airports all over the country just for costs incurred,

The DPE for my PPL is an active member of the 99's and she is a real badass!

I've known a number of 99s members over the decades, and whenever I see a compass rose I check to see whether it has the 99s logo.   Usually it does!
