mike_elliott Posted Wednesday at 10:17 AM Report Posted Wednesday at 10:17 AM I’m glad your plane is whole again. One really should not expect anything less from a maintainer than to do it exactly by the book. With today’s litigious society and the ever shrinking size of the font used in insurance fine print coupled with an insatiable appetite to find somebody alive to blame for somebody not alive, an A&P would be less than wise to make sure that he doesn’t have all of his eyes and tease crossed and dotted concerning the records of his work. As a CFI and Mooney training organization, we have the same challenges, not unlike so many other professions in the service or health industries Quote

I’m just one of these people that doesn’t believe in “deferred maintenance”. If something’s broke, airworthy or not, its gets fixed. While it does result in more maintenance downtime (although he dispatch rate of my O3 is pretty good) it makes for predictable and less expensive annuals. Quote
