Steve Dawson Posted January 30, 2022 Report Posted January 30, 2022 The shop I'm using is unfamiliar with Mooneys so does anyone know what the name and dimension of the original flat rivets in the panel are? Much thanks Steve Quote
carusoam Posted January 30, 2022 Report Posted January 30, 2022 Let’s put out a call to @Baker Avionics while we wait…. Should be an easy answer for somebody familiar… Best regards, -a- Quote
chriscalandro Posted January 30, 2022 Report Posted January 30, 2022 This doesn’t have anything to do with being a Mooney. if your avionics shop can’t figure out how to rivet a tray or something, I’d find a different shop immediately. Quote
Minivation Posted January 30, 2022 Report Posted January 30, 2022 If they're flat then they're likely MS20426 series rivets. Not sure which size and length though. If I hazard a wild guess, probably AD4-5 or 4-6 depending on the panel thickness. 1 Quote

N201MKTurbo Posted January 30, 2022 Report Posted January 30, 2022 Sometimes, If you are putting a radio rack into the Mooney radio racks, you need to do a double flush rivet. The hardest part is getting a countersink inside the radio rack. Most times you can get away with just setting the shop head really flat. Quote

We generally redo the racks to get rid of them, if we are doing a whole new panel. 1 1 Quote
