N201MKTurbo Posted April 28, 2022 Report Posted April 28, 2022 As much as I hate Sky Geek: They have the switch you need: https://skygeek.com/klixon-7270-5-75-75-amp-circuit-breaker.html?utm_source=googlebase&utm_medium=shoppingengine&utm_content=klixon-7270-5-75-75-amp-circuit-breaker&utm_campaign=froogle&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI5r783-229wIVVTytBh3LRAesEAYYBSABEgIqDPD_BwE The -5 is the lever that matches your switch. outermarker Posted April 28, 2022 Report Posted April 28, 2022 thanks very much for the heads up! Quote
Nukemzzz Posted May 9, 2022 Author Report Posted May 9, 2022 Quick follow up: I had an unused breaker switch adjacent to this one that was popping and these two breaker switches have changed places…So far so good. This was the cheapest and quickest way. Quote
outermarker Posted December 14, 2022 Report Posted December 14, 2022 I have noticed a lot of play in my breaker switches so it's time to replace them. I do have one switch unlike the other on/off type switches. The switch that selects position light/off/strobes. I have sticker shock as to the cost of these Klixon breaker switches. Since Tyco was mentioned in this thread has anyone followed through to see if Tyco can be used as a replacement? albert Quote
Old Chub Posted December 14, 2022 Report Posted December 14, 2022 "I have noticed a lot of play in my breaker switches so it's time to replace them" albert, all of the klixon switch breakers feel like they have play in them even new ones. They feel like there is slack when moving the switch on and off. Your switch breakers could be worn but they have normal play. The Tyco switch breakers are tight and show no play when moving switch on and off. Warren Quote

The Tyco switches are about 10 to 15 percent of the cost of the Klixon so if you can get the go ahead they are a very affordable option. Quote
gmonnig Posted December 15, 2022 Report Posted December 15, 2022 I have a few of these switches. Bought a bunch off of another scrapped Mooney. Which switch is it or do you know the amps of the breaker? Quote
outermarker Posted December 15, 2022 Report Posted December 15, 2022 The boost pump is 10A (D7270-1-10) and the position lights are 5 amp (D7270-1-5). These switches look original and I'm just assuming enough cycles have been placed on them with years of service to make the change. It's like a soft click instead of a firm on /off. Quote
