Hi all, this is a very silly question... but I don't know the answer. I see a lot of Mooneys that don't have what it seems to be the normal rudder/brake pedals on the co-pilot side.

They only seem to have a two metal bars, without the aluminum plate for the foot.

What's that about? Rudder/brakes on just one side? And example from a M20K 231 currenty in TAP

Indeed, Mooney’s aren’t really intended as a trainer - so they don’t have co-pilot brakes by default. But they are an option that many owners have installed at one time. I for example have them on my K which is great because both my wife and I are pilots. so the dual brakes enable me to fly and land from the right seat.

I need to buy a set because my co-owner needs extensions and I don't. So I can fly from the right

exactly the same here. My wife has the 3” extensions on the pilot side so i prefer the right side without them.
