rbridges Posted November 2, 2011 Report Posted November 2, 2011 It's a work in progress. My plane is currently at Cole Aviation in Rome, Ga. I've been working with Joey, and he's been great so far. Explained a lot of it to me and took time to meet me on a Saturday to drop off the plane. Quote
rbridges Posted November 2, 2011 Author Report Posted November 2, 2011 more pics. Sorry, don't have much of a narrative for them except to mention the snazzy new filler caps. Quote

rbridges Posted November 2, 2011 Author Report Posted November 2, 2011 I'll post more pics as I get them. Cole aviation is taking them for me. Quote
PilotDerek Posted November 2, 2011 Report Posted November 2, 2011 Did you already have that fuel cap? I like that alot more than the originals. I would love some info on it. Quote

PilotDerek Posted November 2, 2011 Report Posted November 2, 2011 Quote: rbridges no, it comes with the O&N kits. I don't know the specifics, but I do know they have to cut a 3rd fuel panel on the top of the wing on both sides, and they change out the fuel caps. Quote
lahso Posted November 2, 2011 Report Posted November 2, 2011 Joey will do a good job for you, Rob. I'm still deciding between the bladders or the reseal. Keep the pics coming. Quote
KSMooniac Posted November 2, 2011 Report Posted November 2, 2011 I keep expecting to see 10 lb weights in the bays. Do you have any idea if they do any kind of prep work inside the bays before installing the bladders? I wonder if they strip out old sealant to reduce weight, or smooth over any sharp edges, etc. Quote

kris_adams Posted November 6, 2011 Report Posted November 6, 2011 Hey Rob, I was at Joey's place last week and saw your plane. That is one nice bird. It doesn't look like there are any mods left that you could do! Quote
eldeano Posted November 6, 2011 Report Posted November 6, 2011 Assuming those are O&N, are you doing the two bag add on? I have a '63 with 48 gallon tanks, and am desperate for more fuel, and have been looking at bladders or the Monroy Kit. I appreciate your photos and hope to get your opinions when it is done. Thanx. David Mazer Posted November 6, 2011 Report Posted November 6, 2011 How much weight do the bladders add? Quote

lamarwilson Posted December 30, 2011 Report Posted December 30, 2011 Hi Rob, Joey installed the O&N fuel system in my M20F in 2007. He did a great job and so far no problems or leaks. Enjoy! Quote

rbridges Posted January 3, 2012 Author Report Posted January 3, 2012 Quote: JimR I have nothing against Cole, but make sure that you also get a quote from O&N up in Pennsylvania, Anthony. Their prices, warranty, and turn around time are hard to beat, and presumably they know what they are doing. They installed mine 3 1/2 years ago and all is well. Jim Quote
lamarwilson Posted January 3, 2012 Report Posted January 3, 2012 I asked O&N to tell me the top three installers, wrt number of kits installed, at that time. Joey Cole was one of the three and his shop worked out best for my situation. I'm located on the Gulf Coast. I'm satisfied with his workmanship. The project was completeted mid December 2007 and the integrity of the system is still solid. I elected to go with the basic system because I didn't want several more access holes cut into the wing. (just a personal preference). Hope this is helpful and hope your project has great success. Lamar Quote
