I have an m20p with a g1000 gfc autopilot.  The aileron moves continuously during flight.  The bankangle is also greater than 20 degrees.

Anyone know how to change that?

I have a 2007 M20TN with the GFC autopilot and it does definately NOT do that.  I would certainly take it into a Garmin center to get it tested....

You might file it as a "P" just for ATC purposes, but looks like N634MC is an Ovation (R  Model) for the purpose of knowing what it is on Mooneyspace. It looks like it's based in Germany. (https://flightaware.com/live/flight/N634MC)

Nice airplane with TKS. I agree with @Bentonck it needs to go to a Garmin dealer. I definitely wouldn't engage the autopilot again until it is serviced.

Great thread title!  Hyperactive!

A 20° bank commanded by the AP is losing control in one aspect...

But, being held in control safely, in the other aspect...

The AP sounds like it is turning at the maximum rate allowed... for some reason...

What the reason is... possibly lost signal between the boxes... needs to be found...

PP thoughts only, not a mechanic...

Best regards,
