ScubaMan Posted September 25, 2011 Report Posted September 25, 2011 Hello, My Mooney has some sort of protective tape and foam tape protecting the areas were the landing gear doors come together. This tape is wearing off causing the paint to chip and come off. I called a Florida Mooney serivce center and was told this was not a standard Mooney part and I should look for this at a hardware store. Does anyone else use this tape? If so, were can I get more of it? Home Depot didn't have any when I checked this afternoon. Thanks again in advance......... Mike Johnson N871TX M20R O3
Piloto Posted September 25, 2011 Report Posted September 25, 2011 I have the same tape on mine. Try Pep Boys or West Marine stores. Besides protecting the paint it keeps from marking the aluminum surface when the gear is retracted. José
