Friction Lock

My throttle friction lock likes to back out while in flight.  Does a fix for this require a mechanic replacing the thottle assembly or is there anything a pilot can do to fix it?

At the last annual I had mine tightened up.  It's a minor job, entailing adjusting/adding to the collet that provides the throttle friction.  No major disassembly required.
