fboegner Posted March 19, 2020 Report Posted March 19, 2020 Does anyone know the part number of the black 50 amps generator CB for my '67F? I made a photo attached, hope that helps. Many thanks in advance! Frank Quote

Nukemzzz Posted June 6, 2020 Report Posted June 6, 2020 What about the red ones? They look like these on aircraft but they are hella expensive. Any reason why I can’t use 7274 klixon? https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/elpages/klixoncircuit.php?clickkey=4055 or https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/elpages/klixon7274_2_15.php?clickkey=4055 Looks to me like the expensive one is just old tech and has a red plunger. carusoam Posted June 6, 2020 Report Posted June 6, 2020 List their specs, side by side.... When there is a difference, it will surely arise... I don’t think there is coloring without a reason for it... Could be the speed at which it triggers? Or possibly an environmental thing like temp it operates in? in the pic at the top... the black ones are push pull... red is push to reset only... Best regards, -a- Quote
Nukemzzz Posted June 6, 2020 Report Posted June 6, 2020 Until this post I thought they just liked the red color posts in the 60s or something. I have one where the post seems stuck out out even though that circuit still seems to be working. I was gong to get one of the “modern” black ones since I saw someone already did that in two other holes. Now in this post i see those two out of place black ones were stock. Quote
