Best regards, -a- FHP is the HP that is required just to rotate the engine at that speed. It lowers the THP — thrust hp, i.e., the power available to the prop. Quote
carusoam Posted March 5, 2020 Report Posted March 5, 2020 Friction vs. Greed, gents... That chart goes up to 3,000 rpm! my engine used to be limited to 2,500 rpm... Getting 2,700 was adding 30more HP... I’m taking a leap... going to 3,000 rpm... May be/might be 45more HP (if the math was linear...)
