Ok- Who is attending the Atlantic City Pilot Proficiency Program the weekend of Sept 9-11? I understand there are only about a dozen slots or so left for those interested in attending. For those that have never attended this is terrific training & gives you a break on your insurance. CoolSee you there!!

Inadvertently posted this initially under Vintage Mooney's. Sorry for the duplicate

I agree that the PPP is great training, but don't expect a break on your insurance--mine, at least, didn't budge.

Well I insure with thru Falcon. They represent that you receive the discount in the year following the training. Of course I have not seen the discount as I have not as yet renewed my policy. We''ll see what happens.

Who cares about the insurance?  I like to fly and I like to live.  I am more focused on the living part than the insuring part.  That's why I go once a year.  And participate in WINGS as much as I can, and keep working on new certificates and ratings.

I was impressed by the thread we had on safety statistics, didn't think they were fair to GA but on the other hand, they don't show GA to be risk free either.  So I do everything I can to be one of the pilots who will someday, maybe when I am in my 90's, reluctantly, give it up, rather than one of those who have it taken from me.
