tomgo2 Posted June 29, 2018 Report Posted June 29, 2018 (edited) Hello everyone. We are going to try something a little out of the box here. We are going to try and crowdsource fund our effort to terminate the hose AD 81-19-04. Check out the draft version and let us know what you think. For now, I am just trying to get a feel for the level of interest in this type of approach. carusoam Posted July 2, 2018 Report Posted July 2, 2018 Got a link to the AD? http://rgl.faa.gov/Regulatory_and_Guidance_Library/rgAD.nsf/AOCADSearch/70CE05132A9BD8FE86256A390067A98A?OpenDocument Looks like an interesting way to approach and contact all Mooney owners with a Ray Jay... It isn’t the least bit self explanatory though. Is that by design? Does everyone with a Ray Jay have the affected hose? Do they all know they have this challenge? Or the issue isn’t so big to want to draw attention to it? Could be... as the new owner... expose all the short comings from the previous owner with as much technical detail as you have. Kind of like a get of jail free card. You get one opportunity to do all this and throw in the kitchen sink too... Offer a clear solution, and what it will take to get there... that might take two approaches... 1) everyone pays their own way... including development costs... 2) run a kickstarter to cover development costs... maybe a few people show up... I haven’t seen a kickstarter work without tons of details being given upfront... even if the details are only promises... I have seen a few new corporate CEOs have their first annual meeting, exposing everything and throwing in the kitchen sink... They have one opportunity to do so. Then all the old hidden problems can no longer be blamed on the old regime... Air it out... There wasn’t anyone signed up as of Monday morning. Pp thoughts only, wishing the ray Jay people and their customers all the best. See if you can bring us up to speed on the AD. That may be a benefit to some MS people... Best regards, -a- Quote
