bradp Posted April 29, 2018 Report Posted April 29, 2018 Hi all Small copilot #2’s arrival is imminent. We’re looking for those click in stroller / car seat combinations (I think they are referred to as travel systems). Anyone have any recommendations for ones that are relatively lightweight and collapse down to be able to easily fit in the baggage compartment? thanks for the help Brad Quote
N601RX Posted April 29, 2018 Report Posted April 29, 2018 (edited) Our little guy is 16 months now and I remember looking at this a lot also. We ended up with a Chicco Keyfit seat with removable base that stays in the car. At the time these had some of the best safety and user ratings. We got a couple of extra bases for each car and a small stroller frame 11lbs that was also Chicco brand. This worked well until he outgrew it at about 1 year old. Now we have the Chicco Convertable carseat that is for bigger kids. It's a nice seat and well built, but not easily removable so we had to get 2 of them. Now that he is bigger we use a Bob Jogging Stroller with large wheels that easily remove. These are well made and regarded very well but are expensive. We picked up a very lightly used one on Facebook Market for about 25% of the cost of a new one. Also if you are considering a monitor we have been very happy with the owlet. It is a sock that has a sensor in it to meaaure heart rate and O2 sat. It works very well. Edited April 30, 2018 by N601RX Quote
