spectre6573 Posted March 24, 2018 Report Posted March 24, 2018 Anybody have the PN for the nut plates on the access panels? I am having my tanks resealed and a few if not all have been damaged and my IPC for the airplane doesnt show them.
RLCarter Posted March 25, 2018 Report Posted March 25, 2018 ESNA-22-NA1K-02 is what mine shows but for the earlier birds.. Does your IPC show the panels?
spectre6573 Posted March 25, 2018 Author Report Posted March 25, 2018 It does and the screw but not the plates. I figured some NAS1473A3 would work.
RLCarter Posted March 25, 2018 Report Posted March 25, 2018 Not sure about that, maybe someone else will jump in
N201MKTurbo Posted March 25, 2018 Report Posted March 25, 2018 (edited) I think it is more like one of these: 68NA1K3-02 BTW, Ithe cap is still there, just cover it with sealant. Edited March 25, 2018 by N201MKTurbo
N201MKTurbo Posted March 25, 2018 Report Posted March 25, 2018 The lock plates get ruined because they get full of sealant. When you put the screw in it makes a hydraulic lock and pushes the cap off. before you put the cover plates back on clean all the old sealant out of the nut plates with a small drill bit spun between your thumb and forefinger until the bottom is shiny.
Guest Posted March 25, 2018 Report Posted March 25, 2018 Does this page from Monroe Aerospace help? https://catalog.monroeaerospace.com/viewitems/all-categories/nutplates-1 Clarence
spectre6573 Posted March 25, 2018 Author Report Posted March 25, 2018 Thanks guys. Yeah some of the caps are gone and others are almost falling off or have so much sealant in there that I am afraid that once I clean them out they too will just break loose. I figured that since I am spending all this resources on the fuel tank reseal that I really dont want to cut corners on these nut plates. I will just replace them new. Would hate to put fuel in there and find out I have a leak on a nut plate.
