OR75 Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 usually the 2 NAVs use the same GS antenna via a diplexer. most common GS antenna on Mooneys is the towelbar type you would find on the vertical stabiliser Quote
FlyingAggie Posted January 31, 2011 Author Report Posted January 31, 2011 This afternoon, I visited with another MooneySpace member and saw his M20K and he has exactly the same antenna as my plane. His has both sides of the dipole. He has two seperate G/S antennaes: the diplole in the windshield and the "towel bar" antenna on the side at the top of the vertical stab. I need to find out if my broken one is connected to both rcvrs via a diplexer. Quote
FlyDave Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 I have a similar GS antenna but it has dipoles on both sides. It looks like yours only has dipole on the right side. This is the only GS antenna on my plane and it feeds a G430 and a KX-155. Quote
