m20flyer Posted October 2, 2012 Report Posted October 2, 2012 I hate to resurrect an old thread, but I have a question. See: http://www.mooney.com/images/pdfs/sb-pdf/sbm20-208b.pdf What is a "flush window" Mooney as mentioned in the service bulletin text? Quote
carusoam Posted October 2, 2012 Report Posted October 2, 2012 Ummm, 6 pages of how to inspect tubes on the side of the airplane below the windows for rust. Key topic is removing bad insulation. All side windows should be flush when installed properly. This will keep more moisture from leaking in. Sorry, couldn't find the exact phrase that you are referring to. Let me know what you saw or where in the six pages.... Best regards, -a- Quote
KSMooniac Posted August 29, 2013 Report Posted August 29, 2013 Old thread revival... Looks like N328CM might be up for another trip thru Jerry's shop! http://www.avclaims.com/N328CM.html Quote
N601RX Posted August 30, 2013 Report Posted August 30, 2013 It looks like Kendal sold it a few months to someone who lives in Panama city. Jim might know something about what happened? Actually it looks like this plane and Kendal has had some bad luck lately. Looks like his hanger caved in and got the mooney and his stunt plane. http://www.nj.com/hunterdon-county-democrat/index.ssf/2012/10/hurricane_sandy_blows_roof_off.html Quote
KSMooniac Posted August 30, 2013 Report Posted August 30, 2013 Yikes, that is awful. 8CM sure looks like a nice F, but I've got to wonder how many times it can or should be rebuilt! Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk 4 Quote
carusoam Posted August 30, 2013 Report Posted August 30, 2013 The third plane damaged in the Sandy Tradgedy (in the picture) was in need of a lift up onto a trailer. The NJ Mooney group was on an outing at Sky Manor. Mike helped organize the manpower to separate the wing from the fuselage and load them onto the trailer. The wooden wing was removed in one piece, similar to a small Mooney! The damage to the small aerobatic plane, was like an extreme case of hangar rash. Best regards, -a- Quote
