INA201 Posted November 30, 2016 Report Posted November 30, 2016 Anyone have ideas for a good borescope camera for IOS? Looks like some folks have bought the one below. Can you articulate the head around with these or should you go a little higher end? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016KUGVJC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Quote
PTK Posted November 30, 2016 Report Posted November 30, 2016 http://www.oasisscientific.com/vividia-va-400-rigid-usb-articulating-borescope-videoscope-inspection-camera.html Not sure about iOS though. Quote
kortopates Posted November 30, 2016 Report Posted November 30, 2016 (edited) http://www.oasisscientific.com/vividia-va-400-rigid-usb-articulating-borescope-videoscope-inspection-camera.html Good news for us Oasis Scientific Borescope users! They fixed the IOS issue by providing a USB to Wi-fi adapter and their IOS software app. Its works very well but it cost $ though but its articulating capabilities are critical to see valve faces and seats. The accessory so far is only available directly from them at VA-B2_WiFi_AirBox_USB_to_WiFi_Converter Note: If you are willing to jailbreak your ipad then I'd bet you could get the Oasis Borescope to work with your iPad using the newer Apple USB 3 camera connector with the powered USB port and additional s/w including iFile - but I wasn't willing to go that route, but its been done with other webcam types of devices. Much better than I expected. I recently posted some videos from it. I use a small laptop and let it sit on my cowl while I work the cord into the cylinder. Use safety wire to fold it back on itself. The wire is pretty easy to work with. Go for it. Best money you can spend. Quote
