Everybody be sure to email team@foreflight.com and tell them your thoughts and issues. Well maybe not ALL your issues. I've already contacted them twice since the new release.

I agree that the airspace limitations could be on the new maps in their traditional form without being too cluttered.

They track user requests and make changes based on input.

Probably not. Foreflight does that also in pretty much the same way. He may be thinking in terms of the way FlyQ has a super-zoom, although it takes a few taps to get there.  The smaller METAR below the big one is about the size of the METAR in Pilot and Foreflight.

BINGO!  At night with the green lettering in FF it gets hard to read. :(

I would LOVE to have D-ATIS functionality.

These aren't a D-ATIS service, just METARS. You still have to pick up the official ATIS or One Minute Weather on the radio.

I suspect he was talking about having a real D-ATIS service since that's more than just weather, but you make a very important point.

ADS-B and XM are giving METAR information, not an AWOS feed. Although a METAR "should" be updated with a SPECI in the case of a significant weather change, the inherent delays in the system and the differences in how  the information is provided (METAR is true, AWOS is magnetic, for example) mean, always tune in on the radio. Nice for planning, though :)

I'm aware of the altitude advisor, but my wish was for altitude/wind advice on each segment of a trip. Over, say, a 400nm trip the 1st 200 miles may be under significantly different wind conditions than the last. I remembering that Flightsoft was able to give that guidance.

Ah yes. A lot of people miss FlightSoft for so many reasons. I wonder to what degree the current crop simply average it out on no-altitude-change basis.
