Today was a fun day!  I got to bring home N5801N from the paint shop today in Honolulu.

They (Straube's Hawaii) did a really good job and I could not be any more pleased Laughing

Some pictures are attached.

Now it will take a few days to re-install the refurbished interior that Aero Comfort did.

It took them about 5 weeks...but originally they said 3.  The owner lost a couple employees around the time my bird arrived so he basially had to do the job himself.

The cost was $10,500.00.  They would have done $8500 for a basic paint scheme but anything with "flare" like this is $10K for a Mooney.

The extra good news is it was nearly corrosion free - which is a big deal for Hawaii aircraft.

Well of course it's faster!!  Just like when you wash and wax your car.............it always goes faster.  Actually, the former paint was in very good condition and I did not do any speed tests prior to.  Thank you for the compliment.
