The story says the crew is responsible for the incident. Given the circumstances of the flight, it's amazing they were able to land the airplane safely.

I was there the first time they grounded the aircraft -_- .. a lot of work went into getting it back airborne and figuring out what was going on... then boom second time it becomes a total loss.. I do have to say the inside of the new ac looks pretty nice !

If it's like most companies it will get them a promotion to the next level so the current manager doesn't have to deal with them.

Not in any unit of a company I worked in...If you suck, make poor decisions that cost money...you are gone.  With a whimper not a boom.  H.R. knows all.  They aren't talking...
