N601RX Posted September 26, 2010 Report Posted September 26, 2010 I have a 67G with the factory wing leveler (PC) system. It has the newer 201 yokes and electric disconnect button on the yoke. I have a question about its operation. When I press the disconnect button it seems to slowly release the pressure over a period of about 5 seconds. Is this normal or should it release faster? I'm not sure when the filters were changed so that my be a problem. Quote
N6784N Posted September 26, 2010 Report Posted September 26, 2010 i have a 1968 ranger and it releases pressure right when i hit the button. 5 seconds is a long time when it comes to having to release the pc system Quote
N601RX Posted September 26, 2010 Author Report Posted September 26, 2010 One other question. If the Master is on and the engine is off should the low vac light be on? Mine is not. Quote
Piloto Posted September 26, 2010 Report Posted September 26, 2010 Check for kinks on the lines connecting the PC pressure relief valve. Yes the vacuum light should be on with the engine off. José Quote
joc Posted September 30, 2010 Report Posted September 30, 2010 So called "pilot valve" should disable the PC immediately. Check for kinks as it was already suggested. The easiest way to check if pilot valve is working properly is to test it with a vacuum cleanear (don't use full power!) if you don't have a good vacuum source. See the testing procedure in http://www.67m20e.com/Manual%20No.%2011990%20Mooney%20PC%20Operation%20and%20Service%20Instructions.pdf. Quote
