I'm in for both...but you already know that..

For those of you that have not attended a Mooney Formation Clinic I highly recommend it.

FYI the Kerrville with have some extra treats from Mooney... I hear from very good authority.

Come join us you won't be disappointed!

Please don't forget those who are too far away to come to texas, maybe something in the north-east, I know I would register in a heartbeat.

Thanks !

I'm in for both as well!

BTW if you want one of these in your area, do what Bucko has done and schedule your own. Appoint yourself the local chairman and start collecting interest. Find a suitable airport. Pick a couple of possible dates. Sign up as many pilots as you can. Then reach out to Mooney Caravan HQ and ask about getting a teacher and some safety observers to show up. That's how it was done here in Texas and now there's quite a thriving Texas wing.

Rocket, can't speak for Bucko but we both attended our first formation clinic together. So may I humbly submit that while the encouragement is great the order of events to set up and host a clinic may be more successful in slightly different order.

Be willing to do a lot of work knowing the efforts are serving others as much or more than yourself! That is what Bucko has done!

Therefore I would recommend:

1 desire / passion to be a better pilot and willingness to help others do the same.

2 go to a clinic see if it's something you desire to work at and share with others.

3 get with Caravan leadership and coordinate if, where & what is needed. This is important because everyone donates their time and resources to put on a safe and effective clinic. Without the Caravan leader and committed safety pilots like Cowboy, Joker, SARDOT, Yoda, Smash and so many more there can be no Safe Formation Clinics.

4 then as you say self appoint yourself to do all the work to put a clinic together. Hard work, can be a little expensive but speaking from my experience so worth all the effort and expenses.

Like Joker says something like

I did it the first time to fly my plane now I do it to for the people!

So as you and I found out last year Flying with a great group of people into Oshkosh, Priceless!

Fly safe All, if I can help anyone with a clinic let me know. I have all the support stuff that I will share with anyone if it can help.

No doubt I was seriously over-simplifying the effort put in by Bucko and yourself at getting the Texas wing up and flying. But you guys have done it so well, you both make it look too simple.
