fantom Posted November 4, 2014 Report Posted November 4, 2014 There was a light turnout at our last event at Flagler. 6 Mooney's, 1 Piper and 11 hungry people. Lots of other things going on the same weekend, in Paradise. Our next event will be this Saturday, November 8, at Vero Beach (KVRB) at 11:30, and all are welcome. All events all are on the second Saturday of the month, and start at 11:30. Future Schedule November 8, Vero Beach, (VRB) December 13, Punta Gorda (PGD) January 10, Leesburg, (LEE). The local EAA chapter will cook lunch for us, like last year. After lunch all who are interested will transported to and from Dave and Ruth's home to see her Garden RailRoad operating. She has about 1,000 feet of G gauge track, and if all goes as planned 6 to 8 model trains will be running. Please E-mail Dave (daveanruth@aol.com) by Thursday night to let him know that you're hoping to attend. He then gives the restaurant an approximate head count. No charge and no embarrassment if you then can't make it. Come on out and make new friends. The WX has been beautiful.
flyboy0681 Posted November 4, 2014 Report Posted November 4, 2014 Wish I could make it but I'm flying up to Tally on that day.
fantom Posted November 5, 2014 Author Report Posted November 5, 2014 Wish I could be there too, but I'm planeless for the first time in two decades, and I refuse to be a passenger in a ratty old slow E with worn seats that put my eye level below the glareshield.
