I removed the storm window to change the seal. In the process, I noticed just how old the plastic was...scratched, yellowed...

Is there a way to bring it back to its original clarity and remove the scratches? There is one for automobile headlights so I'm sure there has to be something that can be done for our plastic windows.

The plastic used for aircraft windows is very soft where as automotive lamp covers is much harder I think most auto products would likely cause more damage than good. There are some aircraft (glass) products that might work check out Sportys and spruce.

I think the automotive headlight polishing kits would be Ok. Just do them by hand and don't use any grit less then 1000.

Micromesh works great. I use it to polish out headlights. I have grits up to 8000. I have been using the same micro mesh kit for 15 years and it still cuts. Just keep them clean and always use them wet.

It's only a few bucks to replace it. It is precision cut and easy to do.

Just remember what color the old one is supposed to be. Clear, gray or green....

Let us know if you need a window manufacturer recommendation...

Hold onto the hardware, it is a bit of a challenge to replace.
