Making fun of Scott for driving his "second hand Porsche" on roads in USA paid for with gas tax...use tax...not Socialist taxes....

While purchasing a "pre-driven"...or "Second-hand Macon"...

Yeah Tattle-Tale You showed me good...

I must have. It got you a two week vacation, you still haven't forgotten it, and you don't even know what you drive anymore....

I know I don't drive a P.O.S. Audi posing as a car from Stuttgart...

My vacation was earned and well worth it.

Enjoy your toy turbo

My POS Poser Audi (made in Germany) can easily wipe the track with your 911 wannabe 987, which was made in Finland.

So yeah... I'm enjoying the hell out of it. Thanks!

Scott, why so serious? The Koch Brothers have announced that they are going to spend $900M to buy the next election. America will be free!

Seems like it might be easier--and far more influential--to simply set up a PAC and rent some politicians. You don't need to be a citizen--or even an individual person--to do that.

Good for you...

I got just what I wanted and I am enjoying it. Even if it is third hand.

Still wrong on the gas tax comparison...

I'm glad you're enjoying your car.

You're familiar with the Interstate system and how it came to be, right? I don't need to tell you it was the single largest public works project in history when it started. I don't need to show you the budgets and explain where that money came from.

I love to be called serious by someone from another country calling out someone in the country they actually live in for one party in the country that they don't live in doing something that the other party in the country they don't live in also does. PACS and big money in both parties. It is part of politics.

So?

I don't like big money in politics. I like it less on goobers that brag on this thread about their toys...Be it guns or autos.

So?

Big Government are people though, right?

There ain't nothing wrong about bragging about toys. Toys rock. I don't like people knocking other people's toys down. Toys are toys, the more the merrier. Even glorified Audis...

Kinda like conservatives pronouncing how bad the Canadian healthcare system is. Results and data speak otherwise.

Right, but you call out the Koch Bros. and are silent about subversive ideologues like Soros and morons like Tom Steyer. I would also remind you that the democrats had complete control of every branch of our government for two years and liked this system just fine. In fact, democratic operatives have been behind  every attempt to allow PAC's to exist. In 2010 Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission, was a conservative group that tried to put a stop to it. So, here we are. Democratic power slipping away and the whining about the Koch Bros. is rampant. My make on the Koch's? They'll get it done this time.

You brought up an interesting subject and as a result I did a search on it. I guess it wouldn't surprise anybody here that not everyone on Capitol Hill was onboard with the idea of an Interstate system at the time. Imagine if those who didn't want the federal government to pay for it had their way, we'd be driving on two and four lane roads all across America.

Now that's an interesting retelling of history. Citizens United was the plaintiff in that case, expressly seeking the ability (then restricted by law) to run political advertisements independently of political candidates or official campaigns. Does "putting a stop to it" mean something different in America, because the result was essentially unfettered PAC, corporate and union expenditures on electioneering.

I believe somewhere around 30% of all miles driven in the US are driven on the Interstate system. I'm sure it's much easier for Scott to drive the Interstates to see his Badgers play than state highways!

This thread is intense! Can we have an argument about the Patriots deflating their footballs? Do we consider them Reublicans or Democrats?

Kraft is a supporter of the Democratic party, and at least in 2012, gave to Obama.

Probably because he likes to win.

Absolutely right Bo....I had this ass backwards. I love the subsequent McCutcheon decision....no limits and this will pave the way to have the flesh torn from Hillary's bones. Examining online filtering and jamming...one would think the Republic will fall.... it won't. This is gonna be great.

That rumbling sound is your Founding Fathers spinning in their graves. When interested money (for whatever cause) has more power than the voter, the ol' Republic would appear to be in peril...

So you are saying people should pick a party based on its likelihood of winning?

I loved those things back in the day. To be fair though, built in IL but half the money went to Mitsubishi in Japan.
