Jamie Posted December 1, 2013 Report Posted December 1, 2013 Compass correction card holder plastic thingy keeps falling off. I'd tape it, except that would look bad and get sticky in the summer. Suggestions for a fix?

Jamie Posted December 1, 2013 Author Report Posted December 1, 2013 You mean, replace the plastic holder with a stick on label? If so, that could work... subsequent corrections just stick over the top? (It comes off when me, or a passenger, reach in to grab the center post to get in / out.)

Marauder Posted December 2, 2013 Report Posted December 2, 2013 Tell us more about this re-calibration, please. Sorry Gary, when I said "I recalibrate" I should have said "I have it re-calibrated". I have it re-calibrated at every annual. The shop uses something called a CA-320 digital compass while they are swinging it. http://capitalavionics.com/test-equipment/compass-correction/ They use a label maker for the compass correction card.
fantom Posted December 2, 2013 Report Posted December 2, 2013 Thanks, Chris....that's different, and makes more sense!
