Fat Albert , is ready to be my runner
Ross Taylor replied to Alan Fox's topic in Vintage Mooneys (pre-J models)
I'd send you to MSer @s10sakota as a possible option, or at least a pointer for his source...since he seems to have done exactly this on his kitplane. Apologies to him for snagging a screenshot of his video, to show you what he did: -
Hey @s10sakota do you make these...or want to?

Late model seats will fit into a '62C. The seat rails will need to be modified slightly. The wide (top) part of the seat rail is slightly longer on the pre-1964's. I thought someone here did it to his airplane. Maybe @s10sakota, but not positive.

@s10sakota - a request for a women's shirt ^^^ and a long-body...

C pilots rock!! Gotta get me a shirt . . . . @s10sakota, got any option with a collar that Imcouod wear to work?

@s10sakota I think I connected it was you, as I'm a fan of your videos about your kitplane builds...and your (too few!) C videos. I didn't connect the dots until I saw your "dogfight" video, though. I appreciate your style on YouTube and I really appreciate that you've never jumped on MS saying, "hey, buy my stuff!" The stealth, respectful approach is the best approach. Now...make an E shirt and more Mooney videos!

I like to buy things from Mooney owners when able... When they are MSers even better... There are three legs to this stool... Mooney owner recommended by an MSer... MSer So I went to Andy’s recommended supplier site... Something sounded oddly familiar... Wasn’t the owners name... that would be too easy... His email address... Kind of stands out... s10sakota@yahoo.com I sent him a message a couple of weeks back regarding seats he had listed for sale... helping connect some MSers together... https://mooneyspace.com/search/?q=S10sakota Looks like Mark has both graphic skills and the ability to make vinyl graphics... and his business is Veteran Owned... ...In case you need another piece of logic when deciding on where to spend your hard earned USD/AMUs... I have replaced my seats in my '62 Mooney with seats from a '64 Mooney. I hate to throw my old seats away, so I thought I'd offer them for free if anyone wants them. They are in very good condition (both the frames and seats) but the foam is worn out so they are fairly uncomfortable. But if you want the frames you can get new foam and covers. If no one wants them, I'll toss them out. But...I will not ship them. You'd have to pick them up at 9G2 which is 10 miles south of Flint, MI. Contact me if you want them: s10sakota@yahoo.com
