Hi ! I'm not aware of anyone who has a supercharger....but some folks have turbochargers on their Mooneys.... The only product name that I know of is the RayJay. I beleive that it's STC'd for some of our Mooneys...... Btw, re: Comanches....the 260 C model ( at least some of them) was turbocharged....not sure that any of them were supercharged. I got a ride in a 260C one day...it was a mover !!

Many years ago, I had a hailstorm attack my Piper Cherokee. I took all sorts of photos for insurance reasons and was treated quite fairly by the insurance company. It took about a year to get around to having it repainted. I was very surprised just how many of the smaller dents had resolved by then.... If that ever happens to me again....I think that I would make it a point to park the plane outside as much as possible on hot days. , let it get good and warm and then wash it with cold water...then repeat as often as possible.....couldn't hurt, might help ??? Just my opinion, no facts

I bought a remote control ATV winch , rated for 3000#. Bought ~ 30 foot of heavy rope and attached each end to the main gear with a large carabiner ( I think)..... attached winch to middle of rope. Operated remote control while standing at front of airplane and using towbar to steer and help push. Never saw a problem with this , YMMV , of course mike

The whole situation is depressing..... I've owned a plane for about 15 years , but it's becoming more and more expensive and tedious to own/fly ( regulations, etc) ..... I still love to fly but if the market were better, I'd be selling........ such a shame that G.A is fading away....... I truly believe the next generation will only have Flight simulators................................. Sorry to be so negative...mike

Hi folks, Just a long time lurker with a question..... A couple of years ago, a friend was at a garage sale ( in west Texas ) and found 3 clear glass tumblers . He noticed that they said " Mooney" and remembered that I flew a Mooney.... so he bought them for me. When he gave them to me, I found that they are well finished clear tumblers with gold trim that say " Mooney 301 Homecoming 83"......with a nice drawing of a sleek airplane ( without the Mooney tail !) No, I didn't write 301 by mistake..... As far as I can tell, Mooney made one prototype of the 301. Has anyone seen these before ?? Any guess's about value ? I don't really think that I'm interested in selling them , but I'd like to hear other peoples opinions.....Thanks for your time !! mike '63 M 20C

If it were me, I'd be looking for a salvaged Mooney ( ie Wentworth, etc) and try to buy that piece. Paint it and call it good.....

Hi ! I recently had my tanks stripped and resealed on my '63 M20C....Ouch !! One of the areas that was leaking, was around the fuel gauge sensor....fwiw.... mike

Hello, Long time lurker (who now has a problem) here...... I have a '63 M20C with fabric covered side panels ( I suspect Airtex). Unfortunately , I am also developing some arthritis in my left shoulder. Combine the bum shoulder and tight quarters and you get a very sore shoulder after an hour of flying.... I was thinking about installing a plastic panel that has the built in armrest ( seen at Vantage Plane Plastic). It seems that it would give me a little more room as well as supporting my arm. Hopefully this would extend my flying.... Has anyone replaced a straight panel with the formed plastic version ? Is it much of a project ?? Can it even be done ? Any other info , suggestions or opinions would be greatly appreciated !! Thanks in advance for your time, mike
