  1. Sorry.... This sold years ago. Should have noted that.
  2. Pledge....non-lemon flavored.
  3. Quote: Shadrach Are we talking Bendix Mags? I have never understood why A&Ps are so loth to open them up. They are thing of beauty when it comes to function and a good wrench can R&R in under 3 hours. If there is oil getting to the mag, he should be more than capable of ordering and replacing the seal. I would inspect them before I ordered anything. If he is hell bent on sending them out, Al Marcucci is the best in the business, but he's on the other side of the country. http://www.powerprofiles.com/profile/00005148787683/SAVAGE+MAGNETO+SERVICE-HAYWARD-CA Another option might be to try and find a local "Grey beard" A&P (over 50) as many of them will be able to strip and rebuild a bendix mag in their sleep. There's a guy at Royal Aircraft at KHGR named Tom that would possible do this for you.
  4. I agree with previous posts.... Additionally, you might want to check both your oil temp probe, (super easy to do; google it for some cool tricks/techniques), and/or your gauge. With CHTs that reasonable, you may well have a probe/gauge issue. --Jud, A&P/IA
  5. You don't need a new paint job! Save your ducats for sorties to EYW with your nephew!
  6. Interesting.... But I still need help finding another Mooney! LOL
  7. I'd planned to have to put cash with it.....
  8. If it were a late model 185, I'd likely keep it!
  9. I really need 4 seats AND 180KTAS.... But RVs are cool too. I've often lusted after an F1 Rocket! (RV on steriods)
  10. Hi, Please see the "Sell an Airplane" entry... I sold my M20S to buy a bushplane. I regret the decision. If you know a Mooney that's available that would trade with a Cessna 175/180hp Tailwheel, let me know. Link to other post with specs: http://www.mooneyspace.com/index.cfm?mainaction=posts&forumid=7&threadid=2971 Thanks!
  11. Hi, I have a completely refurbed C-175/180hp Tailwheel. I sold my M20S Eagle and now find I miss the speed of the Mooney. Please don't beat me up! I've seen the error of my ways; I want my Mooney back. But, for the person who likes landing off airport and taking-off in 400ft, This is a great choice! SPECS: CESSNA 175 TAILWHEEL 180HP • $55,000 •1958 Cessa 175 2350 TT 150SMOH, lycoming 180hp conversion w/ Hartzell CS prop. Total refurb ground up in 2006. 12. I've been having some intermittant weirdness on the TACH/MP/EGT/CHT/OP/OT cluster in the Eagle. Specifically, the RPM will vary in unison, both analog and digital. The CHT will occasionally jump off the scale then return to normal, (after sending my pulse into orbit). When I saw a digital reading of 1780' CHT and didn't see molten metal streaming by the windows I figured it was an erroneous indication. Finally, my OT is now intermittantly wandering. I've chased connectors and probes. I guess it's time to bench check the box. Anyone else had Moritz problems or experiences to share?
  13. Does anyone have experience jacking a long-body Mooney with the nose jacking point? As I understand, you have to have an extended/threaded jacking point you screw-into the engine mount just forward of the firewall on the port side. Do you still need to weigh the tail? I'm not a fan of using either an engine hoist or jacking from the prop / hub. Just looking for coaching...
  14. Quote: FlyDave A friend of mine uses Gatorade. But he's sure to buy the blue Gatorade so he doesn't get the "ingress" and the "egress" bottles mixed up .
  15. Kudos, George... I would have made him "service my lav". My wife would have freak'n disassembled him. Though she's a delicate Georgia Peach, she played college basketball and used to be a sheriff's deputy. She's my security detail, LOL. NJ wouldn't even see that one coming!
  16. I'm sold on ForeFlight. It's pretty bullet-proof both pre-flight and inflight. I use it for all enroute and approach charting; my iphone runs the same software and is my backup. I just don't need anything more at this point. $75/yr for everything. Once they have weather/TIS, I won't need my panel mounted 696!
  17. I too took the early jump and bought the Viliv (same as the duo) and Anywhere Map package. It worked fine in the airplane, but was klugy on the ground. It's a fine touchscreen tablet for web browsing etc. But, it pales next to my 3G iPad... Mine Duo set-up is for sale cheap too... Name me a price via PM, if you'd like it! Just collecting dust on my study shelf.

Quote: KLRDMD Lots of things can happen in the next few years. For now, I'm probably going with SkyRadar input to my iPad. I'll get weather and traffic for no charge so it will pay for itself in a couple of years (compared to the Aviator package through XM weather).
  19. My MIFI from Verizon keeps pretty good coverage below 10k East of the Mississippi... I'm very interested to see where this goes.
  20. Quote: GeorgePerry This Eagle won't be around long at this price, with these times and those avionics! Wow, if I weren't moving overseas for the next three years, this one would be mine! http://www.controller.com/listingsdetail/aircraft-for-sale/MOONEY-M20S-EAGLE/1999-MOONEY-M20S-EAGLE/1170875.htm
