Question about Rubber Donuts
jasonwojo replied to Oscar Avalle's topic in Vintage Mooneys (pre-J models)
Not to be short, but your maintenance manual will tell you everything you need to know. They are inspected on-condition and have a measurement. Please do not change them because of time. Every airplane has a different situation and should be treated that way for inspections. Follow the manual (your mechanic should be doing this annualy) and don't fix what ain't broke... http://www.swta.net/monthlyspecial.html -
M20K Rocket Breather Tube-Picture Wanted

I have a nice 1979 Mooney Rocket 305 I am considering selling a share, or two, or three. I own too many planes (if there is such a thing) and N231BG needs to be flown more and enjoyed by the right person/s. Airframe and engine times are low, and the fully feathering prop is new. The annual was just completed and a new turbo was installed. The panel is full of Garmin stuff to include a 530 and 430W. There is even a Garmin 695 on the yoke (3 GPSs with moving maps!). She has an HSI, coupled autopilot, Stormscope, PCAS, oxygen, engine monitor, fuel flow monitor, AM/FM/CD player, and Ipod input. Outside, there are strobes, speed brakes, lower gear covers, and a one-piece belly. This is a great plane for the person who likes to fly high and fast for his/her personal and business trips. The plane is currently hangared at Wellington Airport (EGT) but could be relocated to my hangar at Cook Airfield (K50). 1/4 share for $40k and 1/2 share for $80k. We can split the monthly costs (hangar, insurance, etc.) based on our appropriate share and, if interested, charge an hourly fee to cover maintenance reserves and keep things proportionally fair by the heavy flyer. I have an online scheduling service we can use to avoid the possibility of conflicts. The 76' x 90' hangar at Cook has a remote control 50' hydraulic door and is having a heated and cooled clubhouse constructed with bathrooms, kitchen, computer, WIFI, TV, etc. that may be used by the new partner/s. Contact me if you are interested and we can discuss the partnership further. Jason (316) 708-0713 or jasonwojo@msn.com

I am sure that is possible as long as enough long bodies register and show up. You don't want to fly next to my medium body? LOL

Yves...you are your wife's heater...only bring one sleeping bag! If that doesn't work for her, leave her behind...LOL! Gary...sorry we will not be seeing you this year but I look forward to seeing you in 2014! My other "mancation" is in Crossville, TN where my buddy and I play 72 holes of mountain golf, play some poker, and enjoy expensive bourbon with 24 other friends. Everyone else...I believe most of the times listed on the Mooney Caravan site are reccomendations. I am sure there is flexibility on an individual basis if you can show some formation experience. There are multiple ways to show this experience to include clinics or doing some one-on-one with an Mooney Caravan authorized Mooney pilot. Contact the Mooney Flight Operations Officer Dave Marten (dandtmarten@hotmail.com) for specifics. Formation flying is not hard with the right training and is a lot of fun. If Oshkosh is in your sights, consider the Mooney Caravan. This is my favorite way of arriving at the world's largest airshow!

Gary, I can't help that I am excited for Oshkosh...LOL! This is one of my two "Mancations" (the wifes term) for the year and cant wait. Are you going to make it, too?

The 2013 Mooney Caravan website is up and running! I look forward to meeting more Mooniacs at this years Caravan into Oshkosh. If anyone has any concerns, reservations, or just general questions about the Caravan, please do not hesitate to ask. I have been a participant for many years and would be glad to share what I know. The Caravan is the easiest and safest way to get to Oshkosh! In addition, hanging out with a bunch of other Mooney drivers/owners isn't too shabby either! Register at www.mooneycaravan.com.

Looking forward to another Mooney Caravan trip this year! For me, the best and safest way to get the full experience (I have flown in the traditional way, too). Give it a try...don't knock it till you try it! Would love to meet more Mooney drivers as we camp by our planes and Mooney talk...
