  1. Hey guys, Question please. I am installing a new ADK ELT. The A/P says I don't have to toggle in the ELT to my non-WAAS 430 as the basic requirements of ELT regs is met without the connection. Which FAR gives direction for this scenario? Of course I have a different person, an Avionics guy, saying opposite. Thanks
  2. Congratulations and/or I'm sorry. Sincerely, David
  3. I watched two very experienced mechanics really struggle with an older 182 bladder. Lots of cussing and wanting longer arms.
  4. I was wondering when the first comment would show. :
  5. Happy New Year everyone.
  6. Okay. You guys made me go look. October of 2008.
  7. Guys. You do realize that @LANCECASPER will get a big head after all this praise??!! So cut it out!
  8. As his story goes, he saw the writing on the tarmac. With new planes lining up outside on the North-South taxiway before the first bankruptcy, he bought a franchise of A/Z Rental Center which he opened in 1970.
  9. Got a picture?
  10. Thinking about these ashtrays, I bet Mooney made them at the factory. Light aluminum, a simple press cut. Possible.
  11. Mooney memorabilia is cool!
  12. We certainly do!!!
  13. My dad was an engineer for Mooney from 1964 - 1969. He was the lead designer of the retractable step, an associate engineer on the design on the Mustang, ( he was against the roll cage concept and drew up a conventional pressurized tube design but was rejected) and lead AI/AP of the three assembly lines, back when they needed all three lines. We were cleaning out storage and came upon these items. I also found his Embry Riddle tie tack.
  14. She also found two of these ashtrays. They do not say a model, or any other identification for that matter, but they are definitely '60's. I will keep one. Would anyone like the other?
