  1. I’m currently hoping to wake up from this nightmare!
  2. I got all new engine hoses, getting them off took 2 full days! getting them on forget about it! I have removed all cowlings all scat hoses even the exhaust and still don't have enough room for my meathooks. I'm think i should have removed the engine it would have been easier!

  6. If I had known the bearing part number or bearing dimensions that would have been worthy! I just replaced all the hardware in my elevator attach fittings and was surprised to find the bearings in great shape!

  12. I have recently changed my ram air seal and could see where a maintenance shop owner would charge a minimum of 2 hours to change the seal.

Thanks to @Vance Harral I inspected my ram air door seal and found it to be in bad shape. so I replaced it! 1 remove 3 screws from door (I already had the lower cowl off) 2 slide door off shaft block 3 drill out rivets 4 replicate seal 5 reassemble with correct rivets 6 reinstall thanks Vance!

  18. Wanted M20 F exhaust clamp #4 riser Umpco C10x.300 clamp does anyone have a spare clamp? I saw one on eBay for 50 bills..the dude can’t abide any ideas are welcome thanks

  20. I have a new steering horn shaft assembly that was installed 20 hours ago, Albeit 20 years ago as well. when I performed the gear retraction test I was impressed with the condition of the nose gear as ugly as it is.

As I stated in the original post the steering is sensitive (aka there is no play) The aircraft tracks straight and true. my inexperience with direct linkage to the nose wheel caused me to do some interesting s turns after landing. I was looking for techniques to avoid large steering inputs. feet flat on floor dont attempt to brake until slowing even pressure on both pedals to keep it straight. Things of that nature. I have many hours in Twin commanders and the only thing harder to steer than that is a piper Aerostar which I have also flown. I did better with my first tail wheel landing in an L19 bird dog than I did in this Mooney. I wish I could reduce the efficiency of the nose wheel steering and use differential braking but I’m sure as with the other complex aircraft I have flown I will hopefully master the mighty Mooney!
