  1. So leaks will occur in the pc system a common malady is the interior screw through the tube, not so common is the broken line. Most pc cans have long since rotted away
  2. I’m still holding out hope the previous owner can find the key, next I’m consulting a locksmith I really don’t want to try to change that switch.
  3. Hasty I was in my assessment, what I thought was a phenolic insert was in fact the housing no o ring kit gonna fix this! ‘

  5. My boost pump and fuel selector are toast! I have sourced thanks to y’all a repar facility for the pump now on to the fuel selector one step forward two steps back aaaagggghhh!
  6. Thanks for all the good info,I have emaile the factory and am looking in the logbook now. I will remove the door lock and have a key made if no luck with other avenues
  7. That is some sage advice, does the baggage door and the main entry door work on the ignition? It would be easy enough to take a lock to a locksmith. I would be happy to send a sas envelope to any member who will send me a key
  8. So I bought a project the previous owner has misplaced the keys, what’s a feller to do? M20F s/n 22-1246 can I rekey the bendix switch or am I at the mercy of new/used parts dealers?

Ok avionics gurus and panel upgraders my project had 2 kx155 nav/ com stolen along with the ki208/209 indicators i have an empty slot for a txp and I’m told a King Kt76 lived there, will a 76a slide in? Is it compatible? I’m going to get a pic of the current tray data plate so I will know more soon
  10. I have been informed by a second source that 431-9 supercedes the 21A also my good workimg cap on the left is a 431-9 thanks all that helped
  11. I have been advised that a 431-9R is the replacement cap for the 431-21A can anyone corroborate?
  12. The ipc has 431-21A but with Shaw aero caps there is a lot of commonality
  13. Ok brain trust will a m20 K cap fit a m20 F? I believe they are both a size 3 P/N: 431-9R Alt P/N: 531-001
  14. Greeting fellow members, I have just been made aware that gasp I am a CB due to my lack of fundamental! Does anyone have a cb solution for a fuel cap? Someone in the last few years opened the cap of my recent abandoned Mooney purchase and reinstalled it cockeyed! i have soaked it with Aeorokroil for 2 months to no avail…today I went for it and literally twisted the stem right off! im thinking I can just punch the center out at this point? Time to ponder while I find a replacement

  17. Greetings Mooniacs, has there been a list of known salvage yards with pre j parts available? im familiar with Dodson Wentworth, Texas air salvage. Are there any that have extensive Mooney pars? TIA

  22. Thanks for all the input, I might have to leave the aircraft outdoors when removing the gear thus the need for additional stability. I need to source or make some jacks and jackpoints. I have seen some posts about jack point construction and will continue my research. When I start this project I will be documenting the progress here.
  23. I plan on discussing this with as many people as I can, I would like to find an instance where someone designed a crib, I suppose I will make a wing contour template or use airbags or old mattresses on tables
