  1. Where did you find GIA63W? I'm thinking about the upgrade too.
  2. MT is too expensive and has too long of a lead time. I went with a TopProp for my Acclaim one I had before. Fingers crossed.
  3. I have to replace my prop after a strike I still have to decide either to go with Hartzell 3 Blade I had before or to buy MT 4-blade. Price seems to be identical on both propellers.

  5. My bulb in Acclaim burned when replaced with another 12V bulb this new one also went off after a couple of tries. Is that a 12v or 24v light?
  6. Starter died, I've ordered new C24-ST5 and will install it either tomorrow or on Monday. Thanks for your help.
  7. This cable is bolted to the firewall burned ground sounds weird and no there is no turbo nearby. I have no idea what happened here. Here is the bigger picture.
  8. Hi guys. Yesterday I had an important trip to take unfortunately bird decided to lay low this day. After I turned the key to crank there was only audible "click" and "starter power" on the annunciator panel. After taking the cowling off I've noticed that the ground cable is in pretty bad shape.

  11. No It doesn't have radar altimeter. And yes flying 100-110kts was hard. We where constantly over speeding this poor Socata

  13. OK I belive where was my mistake. In order to update safetaxi I have to take the SDCARD from aircraft and update it using JDM instead of using secondary card which updates only NavData.
  14. Hi all. I have problem updating my database. I've bought and downloaded via jeppesen and everything seems to be working fine besides the fact that I have to idea how to add EUROPE region to my safe taxi database.

  16. If possible try to fly as many planes as possible to build your own opinion. I'd choose something that YOU like to fly. Your passengers really won't care that much and one trip to Bahamas every once and while won't be a deal breaker even if comfort is not great. I can't say for you but from my experience I find that initially most of the time you will either fly solo or with one pax because flying is what we love most about our airplanes. Mode of transportation is second to that. In my humble opinion find the plane you like to fly and the rest will follow and hey if it can't make it to Bahamas don't worry, you may take as much luggage as you want on the airliner.
  17. Hi Mooniacs. I have a question regarding operating LOP. Therr is a significantly lower temperature on one of EGT readings, is that ok or should I worry about it? TIT is to be replaced yet (it's faulty)
  18. A quick update. Service in Kamenz somehow managed to get this part quickly so the plane is finally back home at EPGD I managed to call emergency already at EPGD because pitch trim "didn't work" problem was fixed by turning on AP (facepalm). Nevertheless I'm super happy and proud of this plane though there are some issues I need to fix, particularly: 1. replace TIT: I have this part already but don't know if that is just a simple unscrew old one and screw in new one or do I need mechanic to perform this task 2. replace battery 1: it sometimes goes down to 17 Volts so I guess it may need a replacement 3. Failed data path in G1000 - found on the forums that I should check LRU connections - are they located behind PFD/MFD panels or somewhere else? 4. braking power problem - I found it may be gel in the system, how can I verify that is the case? 5. speed brakes stopped retracting (they extract normally) - had to pull the circuit breaker, possible cause could be the wet weather? Last but not least I'd like to emphasise how helpful and friendly this community is. No pun intended but owning C172 probably wouldn't put me in such a good hands albeit parts would be more available

  20. A quick update: Thanks to your help I managed to ship gear rigging tool from Aeroskill in a week, hoped to have it quicker but nevertheless much faster than the service from Kamenz. Unfortunately those bastards broke my plane Now I'm urgently looking for a bungie assy P/N 560213-501
