  1. I have a valid STC with approval and my IA/AP did the minor alteration to the tray/rod… -Don
  2. Still, you don’t have to wait, I had mine installed with Minor Alterations… -Don
  3. https://laartcc.org/article/a-controllers-guide-to-instrument-approaches My CFII sent me this (he flys for SouthWest) -Don
  4. Changed oil today, switching to Phillips Victory with 10% Phillips Anti-Rust. Filter looked great, 2 magnetic flakes and 4 non-magnetic flakes this time. 22 hours since last oil change so still improving. Sample sent to Blackstone so we’ll see how this sample does. Turn Coordinator not making noise (flag shows power) so I’ll pull that and send to Rudy’s for Overhaul. Overall, she’s doing very well and I’m liking that autopilot! -Don
  5. @Dick Denenny, msg for you… @tclimb this is how you do the notices… -Don
  6. After the last adjustments, AeroCruze is pretty much dialed in. Did simulated IFR with my CFII, ton of AP practice with approaches, Misses, and procedure turns, did excellent. Very pleased and I also tested the ‘Go Around’ mode too on the miss! Very capable autopilot for sure… -Don
  7. 8 decades, wow… -Don

  9. My AI buddy says “58 KCAS (67 MPH × 0.868976 = 58.22 knots; IAS ≈ CAS at low speeds, rounded to whole knot per aviation convention” Edited 4 hours ago by Jackk
  10. Not to mention what insurance is willing to insure for too… -Don
  11. I’m hangered a crossed the way from Mesquite Aviation! Good group and they too know Mooneys. I go to Edge Aviation as I’ve know those folks for several years… I’m in Hanger B-3 at Mesquite… Mine is mechanically in good shape but paint is needed. Overall, you’ll like a C or E. Mine has all the speed mods and flys fast for sure… -Don
  12. https://www.mooneysafety.com/ May no long be associated to MAPA… -Don
  13. The ‘important speeds’ are from the MAPA Safety Foundation training guide — pretty good authority for Mooney Training, recognized by Insurance Company’s, and FAA wings credit too… -Don
  14. AFM-2, for my 66 shows these numbers (these are in the MAPA training material below) but does not state calibrated that I can find: - note the weight!
  15. Here is my 66’s - TAS and calibrated tables - no correction tables. My calibrated stall is ~53 knots
  16. No hammer really, but the FAA would evaluate if that is a valid use of the MOSAIC law - if an issue came up. My op manual is more marketing material - probably like your 64’s with no calibrated correction speeds… -Don
  17. Jimmy at GMAX
  18. I’ve taken my wife, daughter in my C. I’m not small but the C has had no problem taking 3 full size adults. Tweak the fuel for the 3 of us and limit baggage and I'm good for 3 to 4 hours with plenty of reserves. 2 people and max is no problem… mine is setup nicely for cross country… -Don
  19. You probably mean 1966. Was the person at AOPA an aviation lawyer? My guess is few if anyone here can give you a ‘legal’ interpretation better than AOPA laywers. Since they stated it’s a gray area, someone would need to ‘try’ MOSAIC with the C and see how it goes. Then, the FAA lawyers would probably come out with an interpretation to clarify. -Don
  20. Was in another thread, he got one from him… -Don
  21. Does yours have the guppy mouth closure? That helps. Also plugging every opening in the dog house is also important. My 61 B was a air leaker for sure. My 66 now has a much better arrangement but with all the recent work (new cylinders, complete IRAN with new cam and DLC lifters) she ran hot and I had to lower the nose and climb out 25 square to keep it cooler… Mine is still timed to 25° on my C for the o-360 -Don
  22. Also notify using @tomgo2 -Don
  23. You could ask for the records history on cd from the FAA on a title search. If you’re an AOPA member, you get a discount ~$99.00 -Don
  24. Track Log flying the SID and the approach:
  25. Autopilot is pretty much dialed in. One more calm day to verify and that should be it, 2 hour flight today with an approach, HILP. Very bumpy on the approach but did well enough. So far learning the AeroCruze has been straight forward and GPSS, HDG, ALT HOLD, and Approach mode is pretty nice… -Don
