  1. Unfortunately the vault does go dry eventually.
  2. Mine runs the TC100 (along with Electric) and the PC system. I could remove the TC100 since I have G5's. I already have kit for the Vacuum Pump removal but will probably wait till I do the AP. Nice to have the wing leveler for a bit of piece of mind in IFR.
  3. Yep, been through all that including the poly lines out to the servos in the wings thanks to a mouse. Pretty easy fix though. All of the poly flex tubing and fittings are all available from Parker using the original part numbers from Brittian. Have them somewhere if you need them. I just told the local supplier out here in sacramento it was for a boat.
  4. For those of you who have installed this system in a short body, I am looking to add this to my E model. I have dual G5’s and a 530W. My PC system works like a champ using the instrument panel mounted vacuum release I was lucky enough to find. I also removed the control wheel shaft AD by installing new shafts from Mooney and J style control wheels. My question is when ordering the system through a Garmin dealer, what all is included? Is all the necessary hardware, ie. complete servo units? I heard Garmin sells the servo end caps (whatever they are and used for) separately. I heard of the Garmin nickel dime way of selling but at this point it’s all hearsay. I just want to be completely informed as to what I’m getting into before pulling the trigger. In addition, I’d like to know how many hours it took to install if possible. Thanks, Bob
  5. I have dual G5’s and a good working PC. I don’t see the need to remove the PC until I install an autopilot.
  6. The ring, or what I call the split ring, sits on the inside (pilot side) of your trim wheel secured by a total of 6 screws which are 6-32. The ring ms are made of aluminum and can wear out because of the brass sprocket on the trim motor which drives it. You should be able to easily see any wear. I think the way they get worn is by hand trimming which causes the sprocket to slip on the aluminum ring. Unfortunately, as you are probably aware, a bit of force is needed to manually trim because the trim motor is not free wheeling. If you need a picture as to what I am referring to, let me know. Bob
  7. I do have a set of the split rings I’ll part with. $110 with shipping if that works. Pilot holes are pre-drilled. You will just need to tap them 6-32. Let me know. Bob
  8. I just had my Weldon boost pump overhauled by AeroMotors,. $450 and it only took 9 days to receive it back from when they received it. Excellent service.
  9. Thank you.
  10. Very familiar with Lasar, I do some flying for them. Yes, have an IA I deal with. He doesn’t have any for this bird. I like to find a pattern and make a set.
  11. Not an issue now. Putting in J control wheels and new shafts from Mooney. Thx
  12. Anyone know where to purchase a set or the templates? Thx
  13. All, I should have sets of these Rings for the aero trim soon, hopefully next week. I should also have the sprockets soon as well. If anybody needs a set, please let me know by PM. Bob
  14. The ring goes on inside on the inside of the trim wheel between that facing and the chain it’s cured by three screws on each of the half plates. If you need the Sprocket, let me know because I’m gonna have to buy five minimum
  15. I talked to them today. They do have a few sets of rings and a couple of motors. They were gracious enough to give me the part number for the sprocket and I’ve talked to them. It looks like I’ll be able to get one made but I’ll have to buy five but the total is only about 60 bucks. I’m having the ring water jetted as well as an extra sprocket for $160. Got a love pilot produce parts. If there’s anybody out there that has the arrow trim STC it needs a ring, let me know and I’m sure I can get them to make extra rings and it will cut the cost down for everyone.
  16. I agree but tried to call. Went to VM but will try again in the morning. I sent an email so I’ll see if I get an answer.
  17. Thank you. The issue is with the ring the socket mates to. I’m gonna see about having one made by Waterjet. If that is cost prohibitive, it appears I could turn it over and use the other side for a while.
  18. The chain doesn’t slip. The sprocket slips out of the trim wheel. Maybe I’m looking at this the wrong way and possibly the trim wheel is wornMaybe I’m looking at this the wrong way and possibly the trim wheel is worn.
  19. I am looking for a master cylinder to add co-pilot brakes. The part number is CM2000-5. Hoping someone has one in good condition or one needing to be rebuilt. Thanks.
  20. I completely understand your point and never really wanted to call someone out in a public forum. Just did not want someone else to have to deal with this type of situation. The matter is now closed as far as I am concerned.
  21. Here is a picture. Never seen a new one so do not know if this is worn or not. Can’t seem to find a part number either.
  22. The teeth slip and I’m out of adjustment. The trim itself is smooth with no binding with trim motor removed.
  23. Are you still having the issue with your TC100? Inside the control box, for the electric side of things, there is AGC fuse. Mine blew once after overhaul. Is fairly straight forward to replace. On the vacuum side of things, if you do not have the hose routing diagrams, I have them somewhere. Let me know what you need.
  24. Greg, for some weird reason, you will not respond to numerous inquiries. You installed my G5’s and never supplied me with the conforuration sheets which Garmin requires from all their dealer installs. I’ve made several attempts to get you to send them to me, no response. That tells me you never documented the install. Maybe calling you out in public will get you to respond. Not sure what your problem is.
