  1. My 12 volt electric motor sprocket needs replacing. It’s 6 tooth. Does anyone know the part number or have a line on where I can procure one? Thanks.
  2. The part pictured is Brittain P/N 11516 AH
  3. Yes, found a pair of R pedals. I’m pretty sure the right side master cylinder would be the same E model which off the top of my head is a 10-24D. Don't quote me on that though. Thanks for the help.
  4. Simple and easy to fix as well.
  5. I agree. I use mine on IFR approaches as wellI use mine on IFR approaches as well
  6. Must be the electric style. Someone is supposed to send one to me. Going to try to fix it but I don’t need it now that I found the manual style.
  7. If it is the one I pictured, it is supposed to pull out to open the vacuum. Maybe the vacuum lines are not correctly routed? I have the diagrams Brittian sent me if you need them. Have one for the panel mounted release and the electric dum valve. PM me if you want them.
  8. Misread your post. There is also the control wheel button to release the vacuum.
  9. Most certainly is. It’s the correct Brittian part number. This one mounts in the panel. Was found in later model Mooneys, pre-J. There as also an electric solenoid dump valves but not sure which models they existed on.
  10. Does it look like this? If so, it’s just a push/pull manual valve. I got lucky and found one on eBay about three weeks ago. It was being sold with some other Britain PC parts and I got to go to break it out.
  11. Possibly a Mooney dealer. However, when I was putting together a parts list to put J control wheels on my E, I was lucky enough to get Mooney to provide me the part numbers.
  12. Not sure how I missed that. Thx.
  13. That is certainly a good point on the relationship; I am sure it does make a difference. However, the DPE I used for my commercial did not have a relationship with my CFII and I do not even believe they spoke before my checkride.
  14. Hi, I did my IFR and my Commercial without right side brakes. I used two different DPE's and neither of them were concerned with right side brakes. In fact, to my knowledge, there is no requirement for right side brakes. I would consider either talking to the FAA or FSDO and get their opinion. However, the easiest might be to find another DPE. When thinking about this, you have no right side brakes when you solo? If you are in Commyfornia, I have some names for you.
  15. Happen to have found the logbook entry?
  16. I feel you. I do not like mine on in the pattern as well. Some have commented on using rubber bands, a 35mm film case, etc. I used to just pull the button out of the control wheel but that is hard on the o-ring but easily replaced. I am getting replacing my control wheels with J model wheels and new control wheel shafts. Goodbye AD. I was lucky and found one of the push/pull vacuum release valves. Keep looking I just got really lucky on ebay. While it might not be kosher, there is more than one way to skin a cat. There is lots of ways to dump the vacuum from the PC valve manually. I do have a line on the electric style. He is supposed to send it to me and if I can get it working, you are welcome to it. BTW, when I did not commercial in my E, I took the button out of the control wheel completely. The DPE did not mind at all nor did he care about right side brakes as someone else pointed out about their DPE. That whole PC system is not required for flight and can be removed to my knowledge.
  17. I am in the market to add co-pilot side brakes to my 68 E if anyone can help. I like to know what models will work and part numbers if available. I currently know where thee is a set of R model brake pedals but do not know if they will fit. Any help? Bob
  18. All, I’m jumping the gun a bit, but in the next month or so, hopefully sooner, I will be selling 2 pilot side control wheels from a M20E. I am currently waiting on Mooney to build and ship me the new co-pilot side shaft. These control wheels are freshly powder-coated in off-white and are virtually the same color as original. On the pilot side, I made a bracket which houses the mic switch, thumb operated electric trim switch, as well as an autopilot cutoff button. I also drilled access for the PC cutoff release button which has worked very well. I am including the PC release button, electric trim switch, and AP disengage button. The trim switch cost me approximately $300 if I remember correctly and is about a year old. All wires will be labeled so you won’t have to trace them. While the bracket is not the fanciest bracket ever made, it has served me well and is very functional. You will see I have secured the wires to the control wheel using rescue tape. The clock does not work but I left it in, marked it “inop”, so there is as not a hole to look at. I can include the control wheel shafts if anyone wants them but they are subject the the AD. I have attached a pic for reference and will upload pics of the actual control wheels tomorrow. If anyone is interested, let me know. Bob P.S. Just to reiterate, the two I am parting with look like the attached pic but much cleaner. Look for actual pics tomorrow. Bob
  19. BTW All, Here is some info from Brittain. Did not know they had a panel mounted cut-off for the system. For me, I'd rather have the manual cutoff because as others have mentioned, I find it easier to hand fly without the PC unless I am on a cross-country or flying IFR. 20. You are probably right. I did get the part number from Mooney which is 4085-20 which to me looks like a brittian number.
  21. I like this idea if I can't find the original switch. May be able to even wire it for momentary cut-off using the PC cutoff button on the J yoke.
  22. Do you happen to know the part number for the Electric Solenoid Dump Valve? I have looked at a J model parts catalog but there is no mention.
  23. Hi All, Since I am unable to locate a 1977 J model parts manual, I am hoping somebody can provide me part numbers for the electric pilot control valve. Do any of you happen to know where the part numbers are or could provide me a copy of the parts manual? I’ve looked but can’t find one. Thank you, Bob
  24. Does anyone have a parts list for retrofit 940021-505? I have J model shafts and control wheels.
