Have you considered what your plan will be for maintenance at these two locations? Are you willing to stock some parts at each as well? I've owned and flown both aircraft. You're absolutely right, the Acclaim engine runs very smoothly. The Bravo's Lycoming is more reliable, IMO, but parts can be difficult to get at times. I'm very curious about your planned route on this flight you describe. Would you mind elaborating? Alex

I followed Don's instructions and I found a leak that others had attempted to find and seal three previous times. Here's a few photos: BTW, the external location of the leak was several inches away from the internal origin. Alex

I had occasion recently to need the voltage regulator for my 1994 Mooney M20M. MooneySpace really came through! They repaired mine and shipped it back to me in 12 hours at the originally quoted fee of $350 plus the cost of one transistor. Very friendly and efficient people. Just to update those who are interested, Textron just shipped the new 40D23255-340M coupling I ordered in January. Current ship date if ordered today is October. Price is $1947.98 retail (shops are able to order at a modest discount).

Please search this Forum for "exhaust clamp" or "V-Band clamp" or "coupling". You will see that there are none to be had anywhere. Write your Congressman. Pray. Repeat. That's about all that's left for us to do.
