  1. Thank you sir. Do we ever have any Mooney meetups at Deer Valley?
  2. Crazy week, time got away from me ... :0 Mooney Selfie.pdf Panel.pdf Mooney 5782Q.pdf Mooney.pdf
  3. Yes, mediocre Mudhens fan - used to be a Goal Diggers fan when they were there. I am originally from the Northend - off of Manhatten.
  4. O.H. Love the Buckeyes. I am originally from Toledo, Ohio.
  5. I read about your shoulder when you posted previously. I have a feeling you are going to find a new kind of love for the F. Congrats.
  6. I agree about the valuable information, I have already learned so much in a short period of time by reading comments. Even when the comments go both ways, the argument made by pro/con on any discussion allows me to understand the topic or concept more clearly. My instructor is going to fly it back on Tuesday as it became the best option. It stinks that I can't be with him flying her back, but I know he will take care of her.
  7. You sir are very perceptive ... ! Yes, I love my Honda Valkyrie mainly because it has a personality all of its own. The Valkyrie doesn't mind having a special look because she backs up her awesomeness in look and performance. Hmmm, similar to my new Mooney . By the way, does this smile wear off? Secondly, can I assume you are a Buckeye fan?
  8. I plan to continue my IFR training with my current instructor, who is required to get checked out and have 5 hours in the Mooney before providing instruction. I think, after reading many comments from smart MS members in the past, I am going to try and get a local Mooney instructor to spend time with me first. Obviously, I want to be as proficient as possible in the Mooney, and gain additional experience while completing IFR training.
  9. I accidentally deleted the file with my pictures .... I could call Jimmy and ask him to send me some .... hmmm, that is actually a good idea.
  10. I was going to wait until I had my beautiful bird in Phoenix, but when I wasn't paying attention, my fingers FORCED me to go to Mooneyspace, and my excitement got the better of me. I hope to have pictures up early next week. And before you say it, I know your comments are from a PP and an official Mooneyspace photographer.
  11. After many months of searching, learning, scouring posts, talking to many people and making a couple offers ... I can PROUDLY say, I am now, finally, a Mooney owner. I ended up going with a 1965 M20C that was marketed by Jimmy at All American Aircraft Sales. Thanks, Jimmy for being patient with all my questions since it was my first aircraft purchase. I pick it up next week, so will post pictures and update my avatar once I have it. THANK YOU to so many people on this site that provided invaluable information that helped me narrow down what my mission was and how to match that mission with an aircraft equipped to support the mission. I hang out and read almost everything because I know I have a big learning curve. So although I won't mention the twenty regular posters that I have learned a lot from, I do appreciate you providing your knowledge daily. @AaronDC8402 and Wayne, thanks for going out of your way to look at a great Mooney for me in Tennessee. I believe that Mooney will be a nice purchase for the person that decides on it. A special thank you to my fellow Arizonan, Ken Reed, @KLRDMD for being a sounding board and spending a lot of time looking at data that I sent, hoping for solid feedback (by the way, I always got feedback). I guess 63 emails back and forth constitutes a lot of help. Now the real learning must begin ...
  12. Very sad news, that any pilot goes down, even more so for Mooney Pilots. Prayers go to families and friends that have suffered this loss.
  13. Jeev, I am looking to purchase one of the EDM-830 4 cylinder models. I have some questions about installation, are you available to talk on Monday morning?
  14. That would surprise me if they required that. Many military bases have flying clubs on base, but not sure about California. Hopefully, they will be more amenable and allow you a hanger to have it worked on, to at lease become airworthy.
  15. My guess is, your plane will be well protected. I would also guess, there are a lot of aviation mechanics that would enjoy working on a GA, something different from Navy jets. Glad you handled it successfully. Can I assume you declared an emergency and the Navy airstrip was the closest? Did they clear the runways and/or provide any additional assistance? Just curious to hear about your actions once emergency identified. Thanks.
  16. Disappointing seeing the pictures, but seeing you standing (safely) next to her, makes it easier to see. Glad you and your passenger were safe.
  17. This is definitely a Beautiful plane with updated avionics for IFR. If I didn't have a written accepted offer, I would definitely be interested. I like how your marketing page, as the additional information and story, coupled with the great pictures and explanations, really sell the plane. I have a feeling this one will not be on the market very long.
  18. Tommy, I could have worded my last response a LOT better, with a more respectful tone (I shouldn't have made comment about paint drying , forgive me), I just know that neither of us will change the other's opinion or faith. This is the reason that I feel it is futile to get into a long debate, about God, on this forum. I am sure you are smart enough to know that I did not convey that anyone "deserved to die," especially a pilot. I am heartbroken whenever I read about an aircraft accident, regardless if they are flying for enjoyment, for work, or for a charitable purpose.
  19. Tommy, As I said, I WILL NOT get into a long drawn out debate with you on this subject. I have much more important things to do, like watch paint dry, than to play word games with you! Also as I mentioned, you can believe anything that you want ... Good day!
  20. Tommy, I won't get into a long drawn out debate on a subject that we cannot solve here, specifically the existence of God, as you have a right to have, or not have faith as you wish. However, your statement " ... another thing to prove that god does not exist" proves nothing. Let me correct my own statement, you are correct, the god that guarantees that humans cannot kill themselves, regardless of their actions, does not exist. The god that says no human will ever get cancer, or any other serious illness, does not exist. The god that says, if you are doing a charitable action, you are free to defy the laws of gravity and still live, does not exist. The god that says you will live on this earth forever, does not exist. In other words, every one of us is going to die at some time. Some from an incurable disease, some from tragic accidents, some from the body giving out with old age, but we will all die. The fact that we will all die, for some reason, does not prove the existence or non-existence of God. Now, I am not telling you what to believe, or not believe, but your statement that this proves there is no God, is not correct, regardless of your belief.
  21. PTK I am sorry for your loss. As @mike_elliott stated, it is very sad when any of our brothers or sisters perish while piloting an aircraft. I pray for the family members and friends that knew him.
  22. I look forward to the day I have half of the knowledge that many on this site have. By the way, GREAT post, thank you.
  23. WOW is all I can say. I can't believe the level of help that fellow pilots are willing to provide, especially the information and assistance from pilots on Mooneyspace. In my pursuit of becoming a Mooney owner, I have received a ton of advice and guidance from @KLRDMD, which is a benefit because he isn't that far away, here in Arizona. He has offered to fly up to Phoenix and look at a local Mooney with me. Additionally, in one of my posts, I mentioned needing a recommendation for a mechanic near Knoxville, TN. In that conversation, @AaronDC8402 sent me a message and said that he lives in the area and regularly makes approaches to Crossville, TN and offered to look at the plane and give me "pilots opinion" of the overall plane. I was surprised that someone would offer to do this for a complete stranger. Well, not only did I get Aaron, but he brought along another Mooneyspacer, @Browncbr1, to also provide a pilot report on the plane. I offered to contribute to their gas fund but was refused, Aaron, saying that he just wanted to help. WOW!! I love this site, and love learning from all of the experienced Mooney pilots - thank you!
  24. Thanks. I am still waiting to hear about the log inspection.
