I was literally just searching for information on this when I found this post. Hopefully TALCO will get them back on track. I have been considering adding the inflatable seal to my rear door to match the front on my Seneca. I love the one on the front...no idea why last owner didn't just do both! EDIT: I received a response from TALCO within 10 minutes of emailing them. They are hoping to have product by February 2020 and are working through the process of having the STCs transferred over at the moment.

Just checking to see whether or not this sold... Looking to buy one if not too far from the Chattanooga area.

Looking to purchase one if it isn't too far from central Tennessee. Can fly to neighboring states. Anyone got anything?

If anyone in Florida is trying to escape Irma with their aircraft, but don't know where to go, the Winchester Municipal Airport (BGF) in Winchester, TN can accept 9 to 10 light singles or twins. Storage hangar space will be made available free of charge on a first come, first served basis. Plenty of ramp space is available for free as well. The Franklin County Airport (UOS) has limited space available as well. Please just get out!

For sale is gently used, good working Garmin Aera 795 with carrying case, bare wire cradle mount, remote antenna, aircraft power cable (and cradle), home power/charging dock, and micro USB extender cable. Screen is in excellent condition, as are the tactile buttons. Databases last updated in Spring 2016.Would like to get $1100 + shippingWill probably be putting on eBay before too long. This unit was only used for a couple months in the AirGizmos dock in my plane. Only reason for sale is replaced with a 796.

Looking to buy a good, used 796 if anyone has one for sale (with XM antenna). Currently they are going for between $1200 and $1400 right now on eBay, so that range is what I'd be looking for.

Looking for a used 52D67 (5000E-9) autopilot attitude indicator. Not looking for just a core, rather, hoping to find something removed in working order.

1964 M20E Elevator Bearing?
BGF_Yankee replied to BGF_Yankee's topic in Vintage Mooneys (pre-J models)
At least on my Lance, Piper assigned part numbers for the bearings used for the flap, rudder, and stabilator control surfaces. With this part number, I can cross reference a part from most aircraft part suppliers. Just curious that Mooney didn't do it this way. Either way, I'll follow up on MB65E's part suggestion and see what we can find out. Thanks again! -

1964 M20E Elevator Bearing?

Even on my Lance there are part numbers for the bearings. Are you saying that Mooney does not do this? -

Awesome, thank you! I will let them know. We did legitimately look, but just couldn't figure it out. I told the shop that they really need to get on all these different forums to assist them for things like this! -
Asking for a shop on the field: Does anyone have a part number or what size the bearings are for the elevator(s) on a 1964 M20E? Looked in the parts manual, but cannot seem to find a parts number for this. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

We have this in Tennessee. I thought I had done my due diligence when buying my first aircraft. Only after did someone mention this to me...so I paid it...late, but I paid it. Thankfully I was able to find someone reasonable to deal with at the Department of Revenue here. When I bought my second aircraft, I factored the Use Tax into my financing...made it SO much easier! At least this is something I only have to pay once and not every year like in some other states. I don't mind so much this time around since we plan on staying put for awhile and keeping the aircraft long term.

Hey, yeah, I know exactly who you are! Sorry about that day...expected that fuel tanker to be there at 9:00 am, not 2:00 pm. Glad I was able to catch you in the air though rather than after you'd shutdown. That rarely happens, but it does happen. Please feel free to come back anytime!

I know how heavy my Lance gets with no power...I'd hate to have something happen on takeoff with 4 people on board. Very sad. I'd be curious to know more factual information though...return to the airport was not an option?

EAA pancake breakfast at Winchester Tn.
BGF_Yankee replied to triple8s's topic in Miscellaneous Aviation Talk
Yup, just south of Tullahoma. I got to thinking about it and it WAS 5 pieces. I forgot the top was already cut off to extricate someone. That counts, right? -

1 cut at the firewall, 1 cut behind the cabin, and 1 cut just in front of the tail surfaces...ok, so 4 pieces. But if you count all the debris we picked up, there'd be plenty of pieces. The wing section actually stayed together. Here's a picture of it on the trailer: Winchester is in that area that is about an hour from Chattanooga, Huntsville (AL), and Murfreesboro. Fairly close to the Alabama line. Google will help you -

Thank you for stopping in! Apologies as I had to leave early that morning and did not get to stick around for the breakfast. I believe I heard the final count was actually only 84 aircraft that came for the breakfast this month, but we typically do see a good turnout for it. We also typically discount the avgas price until noon on that day as well. You're always welcome back! No. That was cut up into 5 pieces that evening, loaded on a trailer, and is out of my sight. -
Winchester, TN Mooney Accident, 18 April
BGF_Yankee replied to wiguy's topic in Miscellaneous Aviation Talk
No. Three separate helicopters were used. A fourth was en route, but was cancelled last minute when it was decided to transport by ground locally. The pilot was then transported to the hospital via ambulance later as well. Exactly. A witness reported that it rotated a little before midfield (5,000' runway) and it attempted no less than three times to climb out of ground effect, and each time the aircraft sank back down.
