  1. I would be interest in it , if it has the 24 volt anti-icing . My own preference , I like Hartzell props over the Mac. Have had several of them over the years on different aircraft, and never hard any problems with them. Would love the performance increase for sure!
  2. Kind of strange that the cylinder only had 100 hours on it and it had a helicoil in it? It must have been ( Bogered up) to have that in it , must times if the standard stud comes out and the threads are still there but lose with a standard stud ,you would go back with a oversize stud . The threads must have came out when the standard stud came out? Was this a new cylinder, or overhauled one ?? was the gasket the thick steel no-blow type? Can't tell from your picture.
  3. Here a chart for you to look at, this my help??

  7. Getting ready to do the annual , yesterday when I was almost ready to call it a day I noticed the exhaust system look a little funny, the metal looked flakey looking? So I got a pick out and this is what it ended up looking like,Yikes !!! Glad it happened on the ground. It didn't look like that about 8 hours ago when I changed the oil and checked the exhaust system then? I alway check it with compressed air and soapy water , and do a close visual inspection. So keep a close eye on it fellas!!
  8. I would run it! 32mp & 24 rpm, don't let it get to hot!
  9. Now why would someone do that , A Bravo for a F model ?? Good luck .
  10. At every oil change , 25 hour I do the mouse milk thing and check for cracks with compressed air , shove a air nossle up the tail pipe with some rags around it spray soapy water around all of the welds to see if there are any cracks. This is. What my mechanic told me to do. This is the same as FlyDave dose!
  11. Just curious ,what's that line above the rivet line there? those rivets all look like they been moving because the paint chips around the heads! I'd be more concerned about that at this point .
  12. I replaced both of the same ducts on my Bravo, they are expensive! The intercooler duct alone is $441.90 !! The other is about half of that or a little more . There ought to be a law !!! Mooney has them , got them through Lake Aero styling in Clear lake Ca. PH 707-263-0412 asks for Dave in parts. Be prepared to wait though and you might have a bug them several times . Good luck! Hey it's only money though we got to go fast right !!!!
  13. Hello all ! Today I went out to the Hanger, to fuel up my M20M Bravo , It had been sitting for about a week since the last flight. When I turned on the master I had No power? I was on Battery #1 , I switched to battery #2 and had power. After fueling the plane and returning to the hanger, I pulling the side covers off to access the batterys . Checked the voltage on both of them , both had about 25volts ? got in and turned on battery #1 ,then the master, Nothing!! could not hear the Relay-solenoid on battery #1 ? Switched to battery #2 and turned on master , could hear the Relay-solenoid kick on . Any suggestions on what it is??? I'm thinking the Relay-solenoid is bad for the #1 Battery ? Thanks to all in advance!!!! David

  16. Hello All. This started a couple of flight ago , noticed my right alternator light flash momentarily on takeoff ,and then again in cruse, just flashed ,and then went out . Yesterday it did the same thing on takeoff , then about 15 minuets into flight the right alternator light came on ,and stayed on . The breaker never tripped , I pulled the right breaker ,and finished the flight . I haven't looked into it yet . Any thoughts on what it could be ? I'm sure I'm not the first to have this happen ! Thanks in advance to all !! David
  17. Was in Kerrville in Jan. this year ,and went on the Factory Tour ,it was very interesting to see the steps that it take to build a Mooney . We were told that they were only turning out 1 completed Mooney every 3 months. It was a small crew working , and everyone was very friendly ,and would take the time to talk with you. It a must do if you are in Kerrville! I can really appreciate the time ,and effort that it take to build a Mooney ,Built my RV-4 with a lot of help ,and don't think I would want to do it again! Well maybe ??
