While on final at KLGB yesterday, tower advised that 25 L was closed . When I got on the ground the ramp guys told me a Mooney had landed gear-up and there where no injuries.  I never saw the planebut was told  that no partial gear were visible.  Any more intel?

The further intel is that it was a "C" model from San Marcos TX that was being brought to LongBeach for some work. No tail number yet I'll probably find out more tomorrow.

Further note, the shop contracted to do the work just had their schedule opened up. Becase that C model is going to appear on Chartis Salvage now.

How much is a C worth?  How much does a new prop + engine teardown + belly repairs cost?

That must be some impressive work to bring it from near Dugosh all the way out to California.
