Aaviationist Posted July 28 Report Posted July 28 I’d go for the lynx or the 345. You should think about what future upgrades may be and get something you know will be compatible with potential future plans. I would NOT stick with the original and a sky beacon.
N201MKTurbo Posted July 28 Report Posted July 28 The KT-76 transponder has a vacuum tube for its transmitter. The tubes are no longer made. Tubes degrade over time, so some day the KT-76 will stop working and cannot be repaired. The modern transponders all have solid state transmitters that should last forever.
