Matthew P Posted January 29 Report Posted January 29 (edited) So, out flying and noticed that there is a 46 degree difference between the ADI Compass heading and the HSI Compass heading...The ADI aligns with the RWY heading and Standby Magnetic Compass..so not sure why the disparity between the ADI Compass and HSI Compass. I'm aware of the difference between heading and track, I just used the track bug to show the compass setting to get the difference between the 2.. also, when changing the HSI to ADI the error is still there.. Any ideas? TIA Edited January 29 by Matthew P Quote

Any ideas? TIA Is the hsi in track mode (bottom left corner?)? At zero airspeed, it might not have a good track (since you’re not moving), Id say it needs to be in heading mode? I think it should be in heading? Page below shows the symbol im talking about… Quote

TIA Matt That’s gonna take a read through the pilot’s guide. I’m sorry, I don’t have GI275s so I’m not exactly sure. I would think that they would both initialize to heading, but there is a way to use GPS track as well. I’m not sure if that indicates a problem or if it’s just set into track? Quote

201Mooniac Posted January 29 Report Posted January 29 A couple of questions, what is the heading source for each unit? Is it a shared GMU 11 or are you getting data from another PFD which could require some configuration changes? Also, have you verified the units are talking to each other? I can't see how the HSI is in track mode unless it isn't getting a Heading which would cause it to revert to track. Quote
